Similar Story Arcs

A few posts ago, I mentioned that the Michael Brown shooting has a similar "story arc" to the Trayvon Martin shooting.

It would be nice if incidents like this never happen again, but sadly, this is unlikely.

Here are the Seven lessons to be learned from these two cases, which can help give us some insight when the "Gasoline Brigade" (as seen in the above image) exacerbates the next racial crisis--or manufactures a new one.

Black Friday Grinches Disrupt Seattle's Tree Lighting Ceremony

(Image from The Miami Herald)

Now I've never been a fan of the Black Friday Feeding Frenzy.

However, if folks are into the extreme-sport version of the Holiday Hussle & Bussle, that is their business--and businesses' business.

Apparently though, the "Black Lives Matter" crowd didn't get the Holiday Newsletter about peace on earth and goodwill towards man, and all that.

Yesterday, protesters tried stifling the Holiday cheer of folks attending Seattle's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Seattle wasn't the only city to have it's Black Friday festivities disrupted.

I guess the only black lives that matter to Black Lives Matter are dead thugs, instead of the good folks trying to run a business and make a living.

Here's a rogues gallery montage courtesy of the Seattle PI for your viewing displeasure.

Rebuilding Attempt Amid the Ferguson Riots

Before, during and after the looting spree, racial activists have been elevating the late Michael Brown to sainthood

If anyone is deserving of praise and support, it's Natalie Dubose.

We're all in desperate need of good cheer.

I thought Natalie's effort to rebuild her business made a touching story for this blog's first post of the Holiday Season.

Besides, the world could use more cakes, especially since protests have resumed in Ferguson.

Mob Rule on Thanksgiving

While the good citizens of this country was preparing for the Thanksgiving holiday, MO National Guard and Ferguson PD braced for another night of rioting

As I've mentioned before, racial activists have help fan the flames, and according to Ann Coulter will continue to fight to the last drop of black blood.

Our Dear Leader was of no help either.  Michelle Malkin points out what he left out of his "Ferguson Sermon."

Meanwhile, Obama's cheerleaders in the Ministry of Truth, New York Times Branch, pretty much published Darren Wilson's address.

And if the Ferguson Rioters convert to Islam, they'll qualify for assistance from ISIS.

SecDef Given the Boot

In the shadow of the looming Ferguson, MO grand jury decision, the White House kicked Hagel on his way out the door.

Even though the Secretary of Defense resigned (under pressure), he was still given the boot.

Or maybe it was the ax?

Ferguson Aflame--Again

While I was at the gym this morning, I saw snippets of the rioting in Ferguson, long before I even heard about the grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of Michael Brown.

Some folks are wondering why the grand jury decision was released so late in the day.

Protests erupted in several cities across the nation, including Seattle, WA.

Meanwhile, back at the epicenter, Ferguson is bracing itself for another possible night of violence and destruction.

Cities that experienced protests have been preparing for about a week now.  It's as if everyone knew ahead of time what the grand jury decision would be.

Many of us like minded folks felt this had the same "story arc" as the Trayvon Martin shooting:

1. Family, friends and most of all, racial agitators (like Eric Holder) create a myth about a black "Gentle Giant/Skittles-Eating Honor Student" being gunned down in cold blood by some white racist.

2. Such a myth is repeated by the non-FOX News networks.

3. The myth starts to wilt under close scrutiny, mostly from conservative news sites, but still remains alive.

4. A jury/grand jury decides the evidence doesn't support the myth.

5. Despite the myth-busting evidence--violence erupts.

I wish we were wrong about Ferguson, MO's trajectory.

It's as if the racial agitators and non-FOX News networks know only one formula:

A White Shooter + A Deceased Black Person = RACISM

No other factors can be entered into the equation.

SNL Schoolhouse Rock Slams Obama's Exec. Order

Leave it to Saturday Night Live to do what the rest of the non-FOX News networks refuse to do:

Criticize Obama.

In this case for his executive order granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

The video is a Schoolhouse Rock parody of the I'm Just a Bill civics video.

Dear Leader's Amnesty Speech to His Subjects

I didn't get a chance to watch President Obola's Amnesty Speech last night.  But the good folks at Townhall have it available for posterity.

President Obola claims his bypassing of Congress isn't amnesty and it is lawful.

And segwaying into Ebola:  In addition to the millions of supposedly healthy illegal aliens, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) will granted to several thousand people who arrived from ebola-ravaged countries.

So much for will of the people and protecting the health of our nation's citizens.

There's plenty of articles on this subject in the aftermath of Dear Leader's speech, but for the next few days I'll be busy with work and family activities.

So for now, the big question is:  How should Republicans respond to Obama's executive amnesty?

Ministry of Truth Masking Obama's Amnesty Announcement?

Our Dear Leader will be announcing his plan for "solving" the illegal alien issue.  Speculation is high that President Obola will grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens via presidential executive order.

In other words:  Circumventing Congress and the will of  "We the People."

I haven't commented on this issue yet , because as of this moment, politicians are posturing and the not-so unbiased media types are in speculation mode.

However, there's been an odd development:  ABC, NBC and CBS won't be airing the president's speech tonight.

Still, whatever the excuse rationale, I've never heard of networks not airing presidential addresses.

Funny how Univision will break into tonight's Latin Grammy Awards for El Presidente's speech.

All of #GruberGate in Two Minutes

While we're all waiting to hear what Our Dear Leader will say about illegal alien immigration, we can at least entertain ourselves with the key sound bites of "Grubergate."

Polar Vortex Redux?

The weather has been big news these past couple of days.

Of course, we know who the "usual suspect" for this early winter storm will be...

Senate Kiboshed the Keystone Pipeline

(Image from:  The Star Tribune)

Yesterday, the Keystone Pipeline Bill failed in the Senate

I think the cartoon sums up our choices quite nicely:  Oil will be transported across the country one way or another.

We're already seeing a surge of "oil trains" here in Washington State.

A few months ago I met with some friends who are engineers by trade (and not conservative types).  One of them said that a pipeline was the most efficient way to transport fluid.

So can we call the supposedly eco-friendly crowd "pipeline deniers?"

"F***ing" Up Everything With Iran

When President Obola isn't golfing with his buddies, he's writing letters to Islamic dictators

One source put this in very un-PC terms:  It "F***s" up everything.

Of course, "f***ing" up everything can be applied to Obamacare, Benghazi, the "Reset Button" with Russia...etc. so on and so forth.

Even if we do get the Iranians to the Nuke Negotiations Table, I don't know how our State Department can talk tough when DOS supervisors are worried about being bullied by subordinates.

Unless our foreign policy "experts" are willing to stand up to the real bullies on the world stage, we'll help a monster break loose...

Up Next: "Net Neutrality"

Next on President "Obola's" Hit List:  Net Neutrality--a solution to a problem no one has.

That's the best case scenario.

It's been described as the Obamacare for the internet.

Even that's not as bad as having Big Truthy watching (some of) you

I mean, this regime's administration's track record of not-so phony scandals doesn't inspire confidence in yet another well-meaning sounding regulation.

Though it's not just politicians that are pushing Net Neutrality.  Corporate coinage is being funneled into the coffers of various for/against politicians for the upcoming battle royale.

To his credit, the FCC Chairman is resisting President Obola's net neutrality push--for now.

Space Probe Lands on a Comet

With all the trouble our world is in, we're in need of some good news.

Yesterday, the European Space Agency landed a probe on a moving comet.

It may not be as cool as landing a bunch of roughnecks on an asteroid, like in Armageddon, but still a cool "one small step" at delving into the mysteries of our solar system.

Straight from the Donkey's Mouth

A couple days ago another "phony scandal" broke.

This time involving none other than the architect of Obamacare, Jonathan Gruber.  Apparently, the key element to getting Obamacare passed was the stupidity of the American voter

He also bragged about exploiting the lack of economic understanding of the American voter

Congressman Trey Gowdy said he couldn't get past the irony to get to the arrogance, while Charles Krauthammer said what us like-minded folks knew all along:  Leftists lied about everything regarding Obamacare

Meanwhile, the University of Pennsylvania, where the Stupid Voter Panel Discussion occurred, has attempted to shove the viral video down The Memory Hole.

This latest "speak-o" as Gruber called it, is just another salvo in the Post Midterm Civil War the Democrats are fighting.

I'll end this post with a Gruber Gag Reel for your viewing (dis)pleasure.

The Problem With Polling

Prior to the midterm election, pundits were studying various polling data.

Both Democrats and Republicans thought they'd do well.

We all know how the Democrats fared last week.

But right, wrong, or indifferent, maybe big data should play a smaller role in our politics

Charting ISIS's Rise to Power

I thought I'd start the work week with a short history/current events lesson.

Here's an article summarizing the Rise of the Islamic State

Al-Qaeda.  ISIS.  Whoever.  As long as we're not trying to decisively defeat them, on all asymmetrical fronts, we'll be playing this game with them for a long time indeed...

Democrats: The "Butt" of Jokes

Getting back to the Great Democrat Midterm Wipeout, I found these cartoons with a common theme.

Dems Not the Only Losers in Midterm Elections

It wasn't just Democratic politicians who saw their aspirations sunk by the Red Tsunami.

Despite the millions of dollars from environmentalists spent shoring-up Democratic candidates--they still lost.

My favorite comment in Mark Steyn's article encapsulates the voters' apathy towards climate change:

"Climate change" is an appealing boutique issue for liberal billionaires and A-list movie stars because "saving the planet" appeals to their vanity. But, if you're not a liberal billionaire, you're trying to stay afloat not because the oceans are rising but because family incomes are flatlined and America has declining social mobility. "Climate change" is a luxury issue most Americans can't afford.

We The People Are Watching

(I love this image!  I found it on Facebook.  Unfortunately, I don't know who created it at this time.  When I find out, I'll certainly give this person the credit they deserve.)

Many of us like-minded folks are satisfied with the political devastation the Red Tsunami has wrought.

But now comes the difficult task of governing

Whether the Republicans are up to the task remains to be seen.  There are still lessons the GOP needs to learn en-route to 2016.

Here's a nice checklist for every Republican who won.  You don't want to end up looking like this:

The Red Tsunami of 2014

As Election Day recedes into the past, the wreckage left by the Red Tsunami becomes obvious.

Republicans didn't merely seize control of the US Senate:  The GOP will control 70% of all legislative chambers.

This was a Democratic Waterloo--a political slaughter...

Here's a glimpse of the Electoral Map.

Despite being labeled the "party of racists/sexists,"  conservative women emerged victorious, along with two minority candidates, Mia Love and Tom Scott who made history, but received no love from the NAACP

There are a myriad of reasons that explain the "Red Tsunami."  One of them, is that Obamacare proved fatal to Senate Democrats.

Breaking News: Republicans Gain Control of the Senate

It looks like the "Hope & Chains" held the Democrats back yesterday, as the GOP surged forward to take control of the Senate.

I'm sure there'll be more news, analysis, political cartoons--along with complaints and accusations from the Left--to follow in the days to come.

Hope & Chained on Election Day

Since the mid term campaign season started, Republicans have held slight-to-significant edges over the Democrats up for re-election.

A considerable number of Democrats have tried to avoid Obama altogether.

Or at least try to disassociate themselves from his policies.

This is how I'd like to see the day end:

Hopefully, none of the Democrats will escape the trap they've ensnared themselves in.

Hillary's in Good Company

The Woman Who Would Be Queen isn't the only one who's put her foot in her mouth during this election season.

The embattled Senator Landrieu claimed the other day that her campaign is struggling because Louisianans are sexist and racist

Now I'm no Karl Rove with a dry-erase board, but even I can see that slandering the folks your soliciting votes from doesn't sound like a winning strategy to me.

Nor is this the only dumb thing she's said.  When she's not insulting her fellow Louisianans, she's trying to walk-back her comments about voting for the dumb border fence.

According to Paula Priesse (31 October entry) Landrieu isn't the only one climbing aboard the Race Baiting Crazy Train. These kooky commuters are trying to ignore one of the facts (at least) plaguing their respective campaigns:  Obamacare.

The day after tomorrow (4 November 2014), the Dems will be taking their medicine--which may not be to their liking...

O's Plummeting Popularity

President Ebola's popularity has plummeted among leftist voters, but the non-FOX News media continues their mission to valiantly safeguard their anointed savior.

That is, until Hillary officially decides to run in 2016.

All this despite, in their eyes, Obama is no longer the man he use to be

Foreign leaders aren't confident in Our Dear Leaders' "lead from behind" strategy...

...while on the home front, Democrats fighting for their political lives try to insulate themselves from Obama's presence.
