A Euphemism for Delinquency

(Image from:  The Patriot Post)

This past Tuesday, The Corrupt Queen and the Boorish Billionaire swept the primaries held in several northeastern states.

Despite running behind Trump, Ted Cruz chose Carly Fiorina as his running mate.  (If I didn't know any better I'd say they look like a nice married couple).

Even if Cruz or Trump were to win the election, it will be slow going in turning back the clock to the days of pre-PC (Political Correctness).

It may be my imagination, but it seems like more PC-Approved euphemisms and  have sprouted out of the Obama Administration than any previous one.

So far, we've had...

...Overseas Contingency Operations (War)...
...Undocumented Americans (Illegal Aliens)...
...Work Place Violence (Terrorist Attack)...

...just to name a few.

If these weren't enough, then make room for the Euphemism of the Decade--"Justice Involved Youth" (Juvenile Delinquents).

One might even say America has a new official language--Newspeak.

Back to the Bathroom Battles

Yesterday's submarine-launched missile fired by North Korea pretty much went unnoticed by the leftist and/or uninformed masses.

Instead, they're too busy celebrating trans-woman Sarah McBride peeing in a N. Carolina women's rest room.

Her actions remind me of one of my dad's wacky sayings:

You can't fight City Hall, but you can piss on the steps.

At least Miss McBride had the courtesy of using the ladies room, and based on her selfie, can at least pass as a natural-born woman at-a-glance:  Unlike the guy I blogged about three weeks ago using the women's locker room at a Seattle Parks & Rec facility by merely "identifying himself as a woman."

Since then, this "gendermandering" has claimed one of it's first high-profile victims:  Curt Schilling of ESPN got sacked for supporting gender-separated restrooms.  My favorite line in Todd Starnes article was:  Traditional values just got double-flushed.

Leftists want to abolish the traditional formula of:  Father + Daughter(s) = Shotgun.

Seriously, decent parents are very protective of their children.  But now little girls must pee next to grown men, and we're being compelled to agree with this.

This is all about "...abandoning nature in favor of the politics of gender."

Political activists should keep their hands off the ladies' room.

(Image from:  Genius--Monty Python Lumberjack Song Annotated)

Otherwise, classic comedies such as Monty Python's Lumberjack Song, (along with a whole host of other "gendermandering" issues) or Some Like It Hot will be "gone with the wind."

But by then having movies and comedy skits shoved down the Memory Hole will be the least of our worries.

With such incessant activism, it's becoming more difficult to always look on the bright side of Life...

The Neglected Navy of the Great White North

(Image found on Yorkton This Week)
Despite all the problems plaguing the U.S. military, from budget cuts to leftist social engineering attempts within, to increasing belligerence from adversaries, America's armed forces are still cruising at #1--for the time being.

How long we can coast along and maintain our readiness is anybody's guess, and has been the subject of e-mail exchanges between my friends and I, along with subsequent blogposts.

What I haven't been aware of is how bad things were with our ally of The Great White North, (the country not the comedy sketch).

One of my friends called our attention to the sinking of the Canadian Navy, (which appeared last August).

In short, The RCN has been scuttled, leaving only--

--12 x  Halifax-class frigates
--12 x Kingston-class coastal defence vessels
--4 x ex-U.K. submarines, and
--13 x icebreakers, with only 6 deemed capable of operating in the true polar region.

With trouble brewing all over the world, I'd love to see Canada reverse this calamitous course.

"Stupor Tuesday" in the Empire State

I grew up in Upstate New York, so every so often I'll catch up on the news within The Empire State.

Today, New Yorkers on both sides of the Political Divide will be going to the polls, more than likely with the "New York State of Mind" of choosing the Lesser to Two Evils.

The front runners of the Donkey Drove and Pachyderm Parade, are mired in a growing list of issues.

Despite his current lead, Trump's Unfavorability Rating keeps climbing.

Meanwhile, Hillary's not-quite down in the dumps, but her Scandal Pile hasn't been buried down the Memory Hole.

Yet.

Merkel: The Murderess of Free Speech

(Image from The Daily Mail--The European Debt Crisis)

Much has been written by the commentators I follow on how Political Correctness (PC) stifles free speech.

As the 2016 Presidential Campaign drags on, the PC Commissars have hit rock bottom--and have started to dig.

At DePaul's College, the student's Republican Chapter is being accused of a hate crime for chalking "TRUMP" on a sidewalk.

While this sort of "triggering" has now become commonplace among the snowflakes fluttering about college campuses here in The Land of the Free, PC enforcement is worse in western Europe.

In the UK, a student was kicked out of college for defending traditional marriage on his personal Facebook page.

In the Netherlands, yoga instructor Ivar Mol was visited by three police officers in response to this question he asked on Twitter after the Brussels Bombing:  How do you teach when there is applause from the Muslim children in your class? (A police spokesman has apologized, and the applause incident may be unconfirmed).  Or Mark Jongeneel, along with several others, who were warned by police to watch the tone of their tweets, because their anti-Muslim immigration opinions may be considered seditious.

At least Ivar, Mark and the other malcontents got off with warnings, unlike Matthew Doyle of Croydon (near London), who has been charged under Section 19 of the Public Order Act of 1986 for his post-Brussels tweet.  I think he was being a jerk for confronting a Muslim woman, who had nothing to do with the Brussels Bombing, but he shouldn't be brought up on charges either.

But the PC Commissar Crown goes to Germany's chancellor Frau Merkel.

She's allowing an inquiry to proceed against comedian Jan Boehmermann, who recited a poem insulting Turkey's president Tayyip Erdogan. The justification for the inquiry is the archaic Article/Paragraph 103 of the 1871 Penal Code, prohibiting insults to heads of state.

That's 1871--as in "The Year of Our Lord 1871"--when Germany became united under Kaiser Wihelm I.

Jeez.  You'd think such a law would have been buried under the collapse of the Second Reich.  But I guess the Weimar Republic had more pressing matters than getting around to the 103rd article of the Imperial Penal Code.

Even if Funnyman Jan is acquitted and Article 103 is repealed--by 2018--Mark Steyn explains how "...the process is the punishment..." in his article Where the Streets Have No Jokes (cont).

Regardless, it's apparent that Kaiserina Chancellor Merkel is more concerned about the feelings of her fellow Head of State club members than the livelihood of her subjects.

Why should Americans be concerned about "Springtime in Merkel's Germany?"

Because leftists have a penchant for PC.  And as more leftists get their hands on the Levers of Power, we can expect more stories like these on our shores.

DoD's Kinder-Gentler "Strategic Interaction"

The other day Secretary of Defense, Ashton Carter, announced U.S. policy of "strategic interaction" means no intimidating.

While our SecDef is pushing for a kinder-gentler way of conducting military operations, who coined the phrase "Islamophobia" is having a change of heart.

Sort of.

As Mark Steyn points out, despite "The Trevor Phillips' Late Late Show," the idea of closing and barring the gates to the Islamo-barbarians is still a taboo subject.

While Mr. Carter believe intimidating our nation's enemies is outdated, and U2 frontman Bono thinks all we have to do is ridicule them; said enemies, especially the Islamo-barbarians, certainly feel otherwise.

The New Inquisition

(Image from:  WUWT? Nobody Expects the Climate Inquisition)
The Church of Climatology has been quietly pursuing its Inquisition against perceived heretics.

A company called Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) is getting subpoenaed over its material on global warming.  Specifically-ish over material that appears to run contrary to the beliefs of the Climate Change Acolytes occupying positions of government authority.

I say "specifically-ish," because the official reasoning is vaguely written and appears to be an attempt to hang some sort of securities/pension/consumer fraud on CEI.

In short, Climate Change Denial = Fraud.

This Climate Inquisition has been going on for some time now.  The link under the led image (itself an homage to Monty Python's Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition skit), was posted just before last year's Earth Day.

Mark Steyn went on the counteroffensive by sticking it to the alarmists, in order to fend off a lawsuit by "...Big Climate enforcer Michael E Mann."

The Diplomad points out that the Climate Change Alarmism is just one facet of the Leftists' War with the History of Mankind.

As for us private citizens, being a Climate Change Heretic is almost as bad as being labeled racist, sexist, or an Islamophobe in the Court of Politically Correct Opinion.

When one of my friends posted the CEI Subpoena article on Facebook, I asked:

But won't burning heretics increase our carbon footprint?

I doubt any Climate Change Inquisitor would see the humor in my question.

Holding Open the Gates for the Barbarians

(Image by Joe Heller found on Stop the Oligarchy)
Yesterday, NBC News was whining about the US being way behind in its goal of importing 10K Syrian refugees.

I'd be happy in accepting 0K "refugees."

Especially since it's okay for the rich Gulf States to cite stability concerns--and yet--western conservatives are mocked for expressing concern over the rapes, sexual assaults and gang rapes perpetrated by Muslim men

(Note:  Mark Steyn participated in a debate in Toronto over this issue.  His latest post-debate article:  The New Man and His Gender Gap).

Meanwhile, Afghans who assisted American troops are languishing in Administrative Processing Hell, reported by Aljazeera no less.

Okay, not every Muslim male entering the US will be a card-carrying member of a rape gang.  But Europe is currently in turmoil over the ones who are, and we don't need to import their buddies to our shores.

Battles Over the Bathrooms

(Image found on Lemon Harangue Pie)
As jihadist barbarians conduct their rampages outside the Ramparts of Civilization, inside the gates, the battles over the bathrooms boiled over.

Last month, the State of North Carolina passed a law requiring all public bathrooms be designated for use only by people based on their biological gender.  At about the same time however, South Dakota governor vetoed a similar bill.

I started seeing paper & pen "Gender Neutral Bathroom" signed tapped-up around the Washington State Convention Center last year when I attended the Emerald City Comicon.  Sp when the Mayor of the People's Democratic Republic of Seattle city-employee travel to the Tar Heel State I started to take notice.  (A similar decree was issued for similar reasons against Mississippi).

I believe we have far more serious issues than this to discuss, debate and to deal with.

But leftists being leftists won't rest until they've shredded every fiber in the fabric societal normalcy.  Yesterday, PayPal announced it was pulling out of North Carolina,  but the CEO's cool with moving things to Cuba.

Then there's folks in the most gender-segregated occupation of all--professional sports--siding with said leftists.  For example:  The NBA is making noises about moving 2017's All-Star Game out of Charlotte, NC.

Jordan Candler spotted the hypocrisy in such a plan:

"The NBA (and its sister organization, the WNBA) apparently think bathroom access shouldn't be based on biology, but basketball leagues should."

Mike Adams calls the current hoopla Sexual McCarthyism.

What tipped my hand in posting about these Bathroom Battles was John Hawkins' question:

When did it become controversial to keep men out of the women's bathroom?

Even then I wasn't planning on delving into this issue at-length until Mr. Hawkins cited a problem Seattle Parks & Recreation is having with a man using the women's locker room.

I think Louder with Crowder's closing statement says it best:

This city is moronic. These laws are moronic. The modern, SJW “trans” movement is moronic. And it’s taking one brilliant man, acting like a moron, to expose just how moronic it is.

UPDATE, 8 April 2016:

Washington State's governor followed suit and banned official travel to NC.

I have friends and family living in the Carolinas.

I wonder how long it will be before the PC Commissars demand banning personal travel.

Joining Europe at the Jihadi Abyss

Earlier this week, mandatory evacuation orders were issued for military families in Turkey.  This was in response to the bombings that occurred in Ankara (13 March), and Istanbul (19 March).

This was followed by another car bomb explosion in Diyarbakir, two days after the evacuation order was publicized.

Then came the Brussels Bombings.

It's one thing to evacuate western families from a middle eastern country, but quite another when westerners are attacked by terrorists in their own homeland.

VDH explains why westerners make such inviting targets.

He then goes on and advises that we can still avoid Europe's fate, but only if we take action.

Unfortunately, our present leadership intends to join Europe at the Jihadi Abyss, and ignoring the problem.  This is evident when, for example, White House minions attempt to censor the words "Islamic terrorism" from the French president's recent speech.

Hillary's Opaque Transparency

While the political primaries grind on, the "old news" of Hillary's secret server is still being investigated by the FBI.

According to the Washington Post (WaPo) and Townhall, here's 12 key quotes from the "Deep Dive" E-mail Scandal that can be used as a handy reference.

Nor is corrupt cronyism confined to the US Department of State.  Apparently, the "completely transparent" Clinton Foundation hasn't been transparent at all.

Too bad Hillary's presidential campaign isn't an elaborate April Fool's joke.
