Trumpunzel and the Corrupt Queen

On March 1st, the denizens of nearly a dozen states will be casting their lots, if not for their favorite candidate, then for the one who's perceived to be the least offensive/potentially damaging to the country.

Mark Steyn predicts Trump will trounce everyone on Super du Jour.

I'm not a gambling man, except for the $1/week I spend on a lottery ticket.  But based on how the Pachyderm Parade has been thinning out, I'd be surprised if anyone else trips-up Trump.

I'd like to say I'd be happy with such an outcome.  But the fact of the matter is, while I like Trump's off-the-cuff campaign promises and his irreverence toward establishment politics; I certainly don't LIKE the guy.  Guy Benson discusses at length his cunning plan to topple Trump.  (Hint: A Rubio-Kasich ticket, with Cruz as Chief Justice).

Meanwhile, between the two candidates left in the Donkey Drove, Corrupt Queen Clinton won a landslide victory against Bolshevik Bernie in S. Carolina.  Hillary proclaimed her campaign will be "going national." (Despite being a bad campaigner, Hillary's able to connect with black voters).

So by the Ides of March we may know who's the undisputed top Donkey & Pachyderm heading into November's general election.

But no matter who wins within the two political herds, there'll probably be a lot of discontented voters on both sides of the aisle.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a low (the lowest?) voter turn-out on 8 November...

The Berning Desire for Socialism in America

While leftist proletariat are Bonzo for Bernie, it's Hillary that's scooping up the super delegates.

We may have a clearer picture of who will be the Donkey Drove's Alpha after the Democratic Primary's "March Madness," when 11 states will be casting their lots on March 1st.

Even if Hillary manages to get a gaggle of delegates, and super delegates, it won't drive a stake through the heart of socialism.

Five days ago, a poll revealed that a majority of Democrats believe Socialism has a positive impact on society.

While our proletariat wannabes are "feeling the Bern,"...

...their cousins across the Atlantic are feeling another type of burn.

It's ironic how former Communist nations, are trying to shed their workers' paradise past, while many in our nation want to resurrect the concept on these shores.

O Attempting to Close Gitmo

A few days ago, Our Dear Leader his plan to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

America's adversaries, and leftists within our country consider "Gitmo" as "America's Gulag."

However, the reality is much different.

Congressional Republicans, attempting to block the transfer of the remaining detainees, cite a 30% recidivism rate.  AP News claims the rate is between 12.4% and 17.3%.  But these numbers are compared to recidivist terrorists being recaptured, or killed.

No matter how you slice & dice the statistics, one recidivist is one too many.  Take Ibrahim al Qosi, for instance.  He was a former guest at Hotel Gitmo.  Now he has leading roles in propaganda videos produced by Al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

About the only thing Secretary of State, John Kerry, could lamely say on the matter of al Qosi was:  He shouldn't be doing that.

Whether you believe Gitmo to be a gulag or a gastehaus, or the recidivism rate is 12.4% or 30%, there's still one good reason for keeping Gitmo open:

Breaking News: Mass Shooting, Hesston, Kansas

At around 5 PM, CST, an employee of Excel Industries went on a shooting spree.

Four hours later, the Excel Industries shooter was identified as Cedric Ford.

One Word Most Associated with Hillary Clinton

A couple days ago, news came out of a Gallup poll asking 1,000 random Americans to say one word they'd most associate with Hillary Clinton.

Basically, her favorability rating is in the negative numbers.

And yet--the chronically corrupt Clinton may still be coronated due to two factors:

1. Hillary's popularity with the Democrat delegates and super-delegates

2. If Trump wins the GOP nomination, (he just won the Republican Caucus in Nevada), his favorability is on-par with Hillary's.

Here's the 2016 Election Primary Results so far.

Michael Ramirez's political cartoon refers to Hillary barking like a dog.

In case you're wondering where Old Dog Hillary learned this new trick, cartoonist Steve Kelley has an idea:

If America does end up coranating a corrupt queen, there'll be a lot more barking--on so many levels--at the White House.

Bush-ed Out

(Image by CagleCartoons, found on The Federalist Papers)

Shortly after the results came in from the South Carolina GOP Primary, the Pachyderm Parade lost another member:  Jeb Bush.

This certainly wasn't a surprise.  The surprise was that he stayed in the race for so long.
Mark Steyn explains why in his Bush Whacked article.  In short, Jeb had the support of the "Consultant Class" (i.e. big donors).  The same "smart folks" who supported McCain & Romney.

And we all know how those campaigns turned out.

I'm neither happy, nor sad to see Jeb go.  Despite any positive feelings us like-minded folks may have towards Bush the Elder and Dubya, we're "Bushed out."

From what I've heard, Jeb the man, is an intelligent and congenial guy.  However, Jeb! the campaign was completely out of touch with what the voters want, and it cost Jeb the GOP primary.

The Diplomad gives a good assessment of both the man and the campaign in his Jeb Bush Quits blogpost.

The Pope, the Primaries and the Proletariat

Despite Bolshevik Bernie's win in New Hampshire, Silver Staters cashed-in their chips for Corrupt Queen Clinton.

Despite winning the Democratic Primary in Nevada, Campaign Hillary is under-performing and struggling.  Millenials are still Bonzo for Bernie.  Her lack of honesty is a big turn-off.

But despite what the up-and-coming Proletariat feels, she doesn't think she's ever lied.

She did go on the offensive against Bolshevik Bernie, claiming he's not really a Democrat.

Well, okay, that's something she's not lying about.

So the Alpha position in the Donkey Drove is still up for grabs.  I'm not sure who among the two would make the worst president.

Meanwhile, among the Pachyderm Parade, Trump has maintained his Alpha Male lead in the Palmetto State.

I haven't paid any attention to the Pope's "Wall Comment."

Despite being Catholic myself, I agree with The Diplomad's assessment of any "blessings the Pontiff bestowed upon Trump."

Bonzo for Bernie

Thomas Sowell warns us about the lure of socialism, primarily among young people.

But it's not just the young who're drawn to socialism--like moths to the flame.

Just about every liberal I know, or at least acquainted with on social media, is a Bolshevik Bernie supporter.  I haven't seen posts about what a great ruler Queen Clinton would be for the Realm.  I'm not saying there are no Clinton supporters on Facebook, just I haven't come across any.

John Hawkins explains why Capitalism is freedom and Socialism is slavery.

Those of us who know something about the dismal history of Socialism, not to mention Socialism's successor, Communism, have a good idea of what would be in store for us.

The True Believers in the Socialist Utopia will be the ones who will be most surprised when their dream turns into a dystopian nightmare.

The SCOTUS Scuffle

Chief Justice Antonin Scalia passed away this past Saturday.  His body is scheduled to lie in repose at the Supreme Court tomorrow.

I'm no legal beagle, and prior to the Era of HopeandChange, I've hardly paid any attention to the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the US) nominee process.

This time, the "tie-breaker bench" is up for grabs, and it seems like political food-fight erupted before the late justice's body settled down to room temperature.

Our Dear Leader has promised to nominate someone who is indisputably qualified for the bench.

Of course, Congressional Republicans have either made demands that any SCOTUS nominees be delayed until the new president is inaugurated, or vowed to veto any of O's picks.

Queen Clinton went on a Twitter offensive, but Guy Benson provides fact checking to Twitter Storm Hillary.

Mark Steyn has a personal interest in having another conservative in the SCOTUS.

The Diplomad doesn't think The Year of the Monkey is getting off to a good start.

To paraphrase a quote debatably attributed to Plato:  Only the dead have seen the end of legal battles.

POWs on Parade in Persia

It's been over a month since 10 American sailors were captured by Iranian forces.

Last week, while Iowa Caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary held everyone's attention (myself included), few noticed events occurring outside the Ramparts of Civilization.

First, Iran released footage of one of the captured sailors crying.

Then, during a parade celebrating the 37th year of Iran's Islamic Revolution, a float depicting the captured American sailors was the star attraction.

US Navy officials aren't happy about Iran's actions.

But, hey!  According to Our Dear Leader Obama, Iran is a new found friend in this Era of Hope and Change.

My friends and I have been wondering why so little is being said by Team Obama explaining how this whole incident transpired.

We've asked ourselves a lot of questions but have come up with no answers.  We suspect there's a lot more behind this incident than we're being told.

But the one common denominator is:  Our Dear Leader doesn't want to, as one of my friends put it,  "...impugn the honor of our Persian Partner."

Honoring Presidents Day

(Image found on:  Relatably Presidents Day 2014 Quotes)

I don't know if Lincoln really said or wrote this.
However, the quote certainly fits the voters' collective mood during this year's Presidential Election.

It seems like every holiday runs afoul of some PC Commissars.  And today is certainly no different.

Last week, San Diego city officials wanted to ban the "gender biased" phrase "Founding Fathers."

Cronies Still Collude with Clinton

Now that the dust has settled from the New Hampshire primaries, we can see that Bolshevik Bernie didn't win as big as we thought.

Despite pulverizing Hillary in the popular vote, the Corrupt Queen can still win thanks to superdelegates

The Diplomad concurred:  Hillary "...has the money, the media, and the rigged DNC super-delegate racket on her side."

I admit I had to look up exactly what a "superdelegate" was.  Even after reading the Wikipedia definition, I'm not all that enthused such a position should have a place in American politics.

A more visible group, the Congressional Black Caucus has pledged their allegiance to Hillary.

Finally, Mark Steyn comments on superdelegates saving Hillary, among other things, in his Notes After New Hampshire.

Shaming Women Voters Backfired

Hell hath no fury like women being told it's "their duty" to vote for Hillary.

Two jumped-the-shark feminists criticized women who backed Bernie over Hillary.

In their minds, women who don't vote for Hillary are either boy-crazy bobby-soxers (Steinem), or are unaware of the Flames of Hell that await them (Albright).

It was no wonder then that Hillary is not resonating with women voters.

After her humiliating defeat on Tuesday night, Corrupt Queen Hillary said "I have some work to do with young people."

Better make that:  "...a LOT of work to do..."

But the first order of business for Hillary will probably be to initiate purges within her campaign.

If women want to vote for a woman president, then sadly, their choice is down to one now that Carly Fiorina has bowed out of the race.

I admit I don't know much about her, other than hearing her stewardship of HP wasn't a harmonious one.  Still, Carly (Wikipedia bio) is certainly a classier ex-CEO than boorish billionaire Trump.

Who knows?  Maybe the winner of the Pachyderm Parade will select Classy Carly as a running mate...

...it certainly won't be the first time presidents and their VPs didn't get along.

Hillary Bern'd in NH

As the New Hampshire polls were closing Tuesday night (9 Feb 16), pundits were confident that Trump would win the Pachyderm Parade Primary, and Sanders would win the Donkey Drove Primary.

By Wednesday morning, it was obvious that Corrupt Queen Hillary didn't just lose to Bolshevik Bernie--she got clobbered.  Team Hillary knew early-on they were losing and published some pre-emptive spin.

In fact, Hillary lost nearly every demographic to Bernie.

A big reason Hillary lost in NH--only 5% of Granite Staters thought Hillary was trustworthy.

Townhall has the New Hampshire Primary's Final Results for both parties.

I'm happy Hillary lost.  She deserves to be in jail for her Secret Server Shenanigans--just to name one of her scandals--not running for president, or any other public office for that matter.

However, when it comes to choosing who would be worse for the country...

...I ask myself:  What difference does it make?

Even though Hillary got shellacked in NH, she's still part of the Donkey Drove Race.

Meanwhile, the Pachyderm Parade got thinned out.  Both Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie suspended their campaigns.

Hillary--a Shill for Wall Street?

While the Pachyderm Parade and Donkey Drove conducted their debates, news broke last week that prior to launching her bid for the White House Throne Room, she gave about 100 speeches.

The content of these speeches remain a mystery.

And of course, Hillary will "look in to" releasing the transcripts of her Wall Street Speeches.

Translation:  Stonewall any and all inquiries, along with misdirecting the low-informed to the "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy."

When she's not demanding Danegeld from the Baronies of Wall Street, Our Corrupt Queen waxes poetic about us peasants doing service as a form of rent we pay to live in America.

Translation:  Serfdom.

True, Democrats in-general, and Hillary specifically, don't hold a monopoly on feeling like entitled royalty.  I merely want to keep this post short.  Besides, there's plenty of time between now and November to discuss the other usurpers and pretenders to the throne.

The Defizilla in the Room

Piggy-backing on yesterday's post about the $19 Trillion Defecit, John Hawkins sums up how America is a nation headed for a fall.

Is there time to "turn the ship around?"

I'd like to think so, but with each passing year, I become less and less hopeful.

What caught my attention in Hawkins' article was the observation that, as a nation, we're focused on trivial matters:  More interested in reality TV than reality.

Our current state of affairs reminds me of a story I heard about the Fall of Constantinople.

Sultan Mehmed II wanted to ensure the final assault was successful.  So he sent spies into the Byzantine legislature (I'm not sure what the proper title was) to hear what they were discussing.

The spy/spies reported back that the Byzantine representatives were in a heated discussion, not about how best to defend their city, but over the gender of angels.

Mehmed knew the time was right, ordered the assault and conquered Constantinople.

Bolshevik Bernie, and his fellow leftists aren't the only one ignoring "Defizilla in the room."  So-called conservatives, along with low-informed voting public are too.

The time may not be right for our collective enemies to launch their final assault in "Fortress America-fashion," but they seem to believe H-Hour is approaching.

The Growing "Deficit Cancer"

Lost amid the all the coin tossing, and accusations of voter fraud/stolen elections in Iowa; the US government reached a grim milestone earlier this week:  The National Debt blew past $19 Trillion.

It seems the candidates among the Donkey Drove and Pachyderm Parade are too busy slinging charges of ideological impurity to have noticed this.

I'm not an economist.  The sum total of my economic education consists of Micro-Economics, Macro-Economics in undergraduate school, and Political-Economic Theory in grad school.

So I've always been mystified by the causes of the national debt, and even more mystified by the unwillingness of our political leaders--from both parties--to take steps to begin reducing the National Debt.

I couldn't even begin to guess when our deficit issue will reach critical mass.  (Notice I didn't say "if").

But I fear it will occur in our lifetime.

By then it will probably be irrelevant whether the sitting president has a "(D)" or an "(R)" at the end of their name.

Trump Trumped in Iowa

I've been off-line spending time with family for the past several days.

So the last thing this "Anybody-But-Hillary-or-Bernie" blogger wanted to do was post about Trump's no-show on last week's GOP debate on FOX News, or adding my own inaccurate prediction of the Iowa Caucuses.

The 2016 Primary Results for the Iowa Caucuses were tallied-up by Tuesday.

For the Pachyderm Parade:  Ted Cruz won, Trump came in second, with Marco Rubio coming third. Here's Five GOP Takeaways from the Iowa Caucuses.

For the Donkey Drove:  Corrupt Queen Hillary beat Bolshevik Bernie by a razor-thin margin.  Accusations of voter fraud and coin tosses are already being made.

Now political tea-leaf readers are wondering how things will pan out in the New Hampshire Primary.

However, before politicians, pollsters and newscasters migrate to the Granite State; Bolshevik Bernie is threatening to follow Donald Trump's lead and skip tomorrow night's Dem Debate.

Overall, the front-runners of both parties aren't doing as well as they imagine they would.

I've never followed business news.  While this latest piece by National Review on Trump's business record of bullying and cheating was news to me--but it wasn't surprising either.

And since bullies are often cowards underneath, maybe Trump's ducking out of the FOX News debates wasn't so surprising after all.

Meanwhile, of the 22 Top Secret e-mails that passed through Hillary's Secret Server, contained operational intelligence that could put lives in jeopardy

Instead of wearing fashionable pantsuits, Hillary should be wearing orange jumpsuits.

For more entertaining comments about the Iowa Caucuses, there's Everybody Gets a Medal and Second Degree Bern.
