Silencing the opposition is a favorite tactic of the left. So Pelosi is calling for an investigation of the funding for those protesting against the Cordoba House.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the significance of the Islamic center's name. Cordoba, was captured by a Muslim army in 711 A.D. and became the center of the Caliphate of Cordoba in 766 A.D., ruling over most of Spain, until recaptured in 1236 during the Spanish Reconquista.
