#NotMyOscar

I had better things to do Sunday evening than watch the Academy Awards--like getting a good night's sleep.  Besides, I haven't seen a single movie on any of the best whatever lists.

Anyway, I wasn't the only one who didn't tune-in:  Oscar ratings dip again amid best picture mix up.

The Hollywierdos showed their true colors--again--by cheering a statement read from the Iranian director who won best foreign picture, but boycotted the show.

Iranian government henchmen were happy with the Oscars.

Yesterday, Sean Hannity's radio show recapped the Oscars's low points.

At least one conservative street artist mocked Hollywood with fake ads.

But then again, his art sum up the feelings a lot of us "deplorable" Americans have towards Hollyweird.

GNOTUS?

(Image found on:  The Democratic Underground)
I finally finished reading my copy of TIME's Special Edition: Star Trek, Inside the Most Influential Science-Fiction Series Ever, which I purchased after attending a Star Trek exhibit in Seattle last year.

On page 59, this quote in big, bold blue letters caught my eye:

If Donald Trump were a Star Trek alien, he would be a Ferengi.

Ever since Trump tossed his hat in the ring, I've heard all sorts of criticisms about him--from the valid to the certifiably crazy.

I find this one funny, because for someone who wrote The Art of the Deal, along with heading a financial empire, the comment seems to apply rather nicely.

But I think the joke is on Time, as well as the artists of the pictures I used in this post.  I suspect none of them thought Trump would actually win.

But since he has, maybe it's time to change the presidential acronym from POTUS (President of the U.S.) to GNOTUS (Grand Nagus of the U.S.).

(Image found on:  Redman Cheyenne)
And since leftists have been invoking Godwin's Law on a daily basis since the election results were finalized, I'll be sure to refer to Trump as Grand Nagus Donolf Trumpler.

The Evergreen Sanctuary State

Despite Trump's attempt at reigning-in our illegal immigration problem, the president isn't the only person in government who can issue executive orders.

Governor Inslee signed one the other day limiting WA State's involvement with immigration enforcement.

Or, to put it another way, when fully translated from Newspeak:  WA State is now a sanctuary state.

Washington isn't the first, or only sanctuary state in the (dis)union, but it's looking like Adios America! one sanctuary state at a time.

Law & Laments: Snowflake Edition

During the eight-year Era of Hope and Change, leftists frowned upon America enforcing its own immigration laws.

They still do.  Some religious leaders are planning on forming an "underground railroad" for illegal aliens.

But despite their intent to harbor illegals, the rule of law has returned.

And not just in terms of immigration, but towards destructive temper tantrums thrown by the election's sore losers.

More than 200 Inauguration Day protesters were indicted on rioting charges.

Turning Point USA's Alana Mastrangelo was delighted to re-post one leftist's lament at being arrested and charged--but managed to get bailed out by his backers.

This may add a touch of credibility to the claim of paid protesters at town hall meetings.

As one online friend responded:

All that talk of backers -- sounds like conspiracy to me.  Can't wait to see the little babies turn over a list of names to save their own pathetic hides.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali: Why Don't Feminists Fight for Muslim Women?

Indeed.  Why don't feminists fight for Muslim women?

I stopped taking feminists seriously when they gave Bill Clinton a pass for the Monica Lewinsky Scandal.

Since then, they've formed an unholy alliance with the jihadists.

(Image from:  The Post and Courier)
How feminist think they're striking a blow against "Trump's tyranny," or whatever, by siding with a totalitarian religious-political ideology is beyond me.  Especially since the end-game will be this:

(Image from:  Trump Fan Network Facebook Page)
And speaking of forcing women to keep their mouths shut, last week Sweden's lefty-feminist politician donned hijabs and chadors during a state visit to Iran.

It's kinda hard for western feminists to defend their Muslim sisters when they're too busy caving-in and catering-to the Muslim Patriarchy.

Trump's Tumultuous Relationship With the Press

Yesterday, Trump tweeted that the mainstream media is the enemy of the American people.

Now my opinion of the leftist news outlets is very low, which I've clearly indicated on my posts over the years.  But I've used other adjectives to describe the press, saving "enemy" for the various jihadists, Iran, North Korea, etc.

Semantics aside, at least one CBS anchor admitted the press ruined its own reputation.

Boy did they ever.

The press has hit rock bottom, and ever since Election Day lefty journalists have been digging.

Jeff Crouere put it best:  Media lapdogs become rabid attack dogs.

And how.

Before heading to the gym this morning, I caught a headline about a proposal to mobilize the National Guard to round up illegal aliens.  I'm glad I didn't cut my workout short to read the article because it turned out AP blew it, although the story continued to trend on Facebook.

Whether the lefty journalists are true enemies-of-the-state, or are peddling in fake news, one thing is certain:  They don't like playing second-fiddle to conservative news outlets.

More Fuss and Feathers Over Flynn

Apparently there's an audio tape of Michael Flynn chatting with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian Ambassador to the US on 29 December 2016--the crux of the whole scandal--phony or otherwise.

I agree with Andrew McCarthy's recommendation:  Make the Flynn Tape public.

But to paraphrase McCarthy's article:  No one, from beauraucrats still loyal to Barry O to Team Trumpler, seems to be hell-bent on doing so, because the details or how the situation was (mis)handled may embarrass both sides.

As to how the hostile media got wind of all this, a former CIA analyst claimed Obamunists holdovers are behind the leaks.

The term deep state is being used a lot this past week.

Trump and Congress are gearing-up to find the leakers and make them pay a "big price."

Meanwhile:  Flynn plans to put up a fight...and...his successor decided not to take the job after all.

Fussing Over the Flynn Flap

Just before Valentine's Day, Trump's national security adviser, Michael Flynn, resigned,

The hoopla centered on the ex-national security adviser's contact with the Russian ambassador, and whether he lied to, or simply misled Pence & Trump.

This in-turn made it unclear if Flynn fibbed about other national security issues.

While I was out & about preparing to celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife, I would catch headlines about the chaos & confusion inside the Trump Tower White House.

Michelle Malkin reminds us of all the bumps in the road during Barry O's first 100 Days.

Trump though, is ticked off at apparent leaks from folks inside the intelligence community to the media.

Flynn may come under investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee
, which Charles Krauthammer called a cover up without a crime.

In the meantime, until the Flynn fallout settles, offered to Vice Admiral Robert Harward.

Hopefully, he'll last longer than his predecessor.

Valentine's Day Greetings for the Politically Incorrect

(Image from:  Some E-Cars--Workplace)
This year, I stumbled across conducted thorough research, with the help of Some E Cards, to use for Valentine's Day greetings, maybe with the added benefit of annoying snowflakes and PC commissars.

This on-line entertainment group has an extensive Valentine's Day selection you can misuse put to good use.

While most relationships seemed to have weathered the 2016 Presidential Election...

...but there's at least one case of a woman divorcing her husband of 22 years because he voted for Trump.

I guess among snowflakes, political ideology trumps marital vows.

Oh well.

For everyone else not kicking their spouses and sweethearts to the curb:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Missile Mayhem

While leftists and conservatives play tug-of-war over Donolf Trumpler's anti-jihadist immigration executive order (EO), our nation-state adversaries haven't been idle.

Two weeks ago, Iran conducted another missile test in violation of another UN resolution.

Not wanting to be left out of the ICBM Club, this past weekend North Korea test fired a missile that splashed down somewhere between Korea and Japan.

(Image found on FOX 11 News)
I didn't expect "the usual suspects" to suddenly play nice with us because Trump won the election.

I'm not even going to speculate what Trump will do, or should do.

Just like repealing and replacing Obamacare...

...it will take time to undo the damage, at home and abroad, Barry O's Era of Hope & Change caused.

Dems in a Dilemma

Ever since Election Day 2016, we're subjected to anti-Trump tantrum on a near, if not actual, daily basis.

John Hawkins gives us a rundown on how Donolf Trumpler has caused the left to lose its mind.

Trump, however, is just the pinnacle of the tip of the political-social iceberg that leftists refuse to look past in this post-election world.

It wasn't just the presidency the Democrats lost.  They lost across the board in both local and national elections--and were steadily doing so throughout the Hope and Change Era of Barry O.

If leftist snowflakes continue their fixation against Donolf Trumpler, at the expense of every thing else, then the Democratic Party is dead without gains at the state level.

But instead of doing any calm self-reflection on the cause of their on-going electoral defeat, the Democrats are doubling-down on the same strategy that lost them the presidency--and just about every other elected position in the country.

And it's not just politicians who are reinforcing failure.

Just before Christmas, MTV yanked its "New Year's Resolutions for White Guys" video, because of the immediate backlash.

While the MTV moguls may have thought they killed the video, their half-baked idea lives on as a great source of internet memes, like this one:

(Image found on Elite Trader)
My favorite is this...

(Image found on Trill!)
...because I actually remember these "days of legend."  I haven't tuned-in to MTV in a couple decades.

I see I haven't missed out on anything.

Anyway, the execs at Netflix didn't get the memo that us whites are sick & tired of being called racist simply because we're white--not to mention all the other "deplorable" traits supposedly lurking within us because of our skin color.

The company plans to debut its new series in April:  Dear White People.  (Not to be confused with the 2014 film with the same title).

Now I'm no Harvard Business School grad, but it doesn't make sense to me for a company to piss off a large chunk of it's customers.

As MTV found out, it will be the customers telling Netflix to piss off.

Court of Appeals Keeping the Gates Open

A couple days ago, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Trump's immigration executive order (EO)

Initially, President Donolf Trumpler's response was not seek an appeal, but draft a new EO.

Now, Team Trump is considering all legal options while the circuit court calls for something called an "en bac hearing."

We didn't hear a peep from leftists when Barry O implemented a similar EO.

Now the left is reverting to a pre-9/11 mentality, and they want to see the rest of us reverted.

One of the tools leftists use to bludgeon their political-social opponents into submission is weaponized empathy (coming soon to an illegal alien near you), along with more examples of weaponized empathy.

I'm continually amazed how leftists consider those of us who want to bar the gates, a greater threat to our civilization than the savage invaders among the fold of refugees.

SJWs Ruining Fun for Everyone

When my wife and I returned from Oregon, we went about doing chores and preparing for the impending snowstorm.  So I didn't watch Super Bowl LI.

Even though I was born in the Boston area, I've been a lukewarm Seattle Seahawks fan since I first came to Washington State back in the '80s.  In general though, I hardly follow sports at all.

So with all the other issues Donolf Trumpler's administration, like his cabinet picks and trying to suspend immigration from jihadi-infested areas, why am I posting about a subject that I'm ambivalent about at best?

Because leftists insist on injecting their political-social views into everything--including our leisure time--when we want to take a break from reality.

Some companies ran politically-tainted adsThe Diplomad considered Audi's commercial a Progressive crash test dummy, and Dennis Prager declared Audi is now THE car for the unhappy woman.

Or should that be "...for the unhappy womxn?"

Anyway, a dose of politics and social commentaries in commercials wasn't enough for the Social Justice Whiners (SJWs) who tuned-in.  They're weren't gaga that Lady Gaga's half-time show wasn't overly political.

And became unhinged over the Patriots' win because the owner, coach and key quarterback are all Trump supporters.

But the intrusion of politics isn't limited to the sports arena--

--A few years ago we had Gamergate (a year in review).

--SJWs have invaded comic books.

Not to mention movies and TV shows.

I've been a subscriber to Writer's Digest for years--decades even.  I plan on letting my subscription expire.  Lately, there's been a call-to-arms for authors to write about more diverse characters.  While this may sound innocuous enough--remember most SJW buzz phrases start out this way--I have a hard time believing grade school children are craving to read about gay and transgender characters.

I suspect, just like in comics, this is another top-down decision made by editors and publishers to force material on to readers, of all ages, aren't interested in.

And when it comes to actually doing some actual activist activity, you better not merely set your Virtue Signal on automatic, and walk away.  Taylor Swift found herself afoul of SJWs when she "phoned-in" her support for the Women's March

Sci-fi author, Brad Torgerson, describes at length how the ctrl-left drove me away from American liberalism.

Snow Day in Western Washington

A couple days ago, my wife and I took a road trip to south-western Oregon to visit an elderly friend.

We returned late Saturday night, and a good thing too.

It snowed all day yesterday, which started accumulating on the roads by mid-afternoon.

By early morning today, we had several inches of snow in our neighborhood, while schools across the region closed or delayed opening.

Here's a photo gallery of Snow in Seattle.

I'll return to broadcasting about the World's woes by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, it's back to shoveling...

Clock Boy Gets His Clock Cleaned in Court

(Image found on Overpasses for America)

Well, technically Clock Boy's lawyers had their defamation suit against Ben Shapiro dismissed by a Texas judge.

I just couldn't resist concocting my alliterative title.

While I'd love to crow about this victory for Free Speech, us like-minded folks will be fighting a one-step-forward-one-step-back style of battle for a long time.

For instance:  UC Berkeley still hasn't gotten the memo about the First Amendment.

(Image from:  Breitbart)

The Fabulous Milo Yiannopoulos was suppose to give a speech at Berkeley the other night.  But "anti-fascist" fascists rioted, to which the campus elders responded by cancelling Milo's monologue.

Who knew there were so many homophobic, racist, xenophobes at Berkeley?

Indeed.  Here's some more videos of Dems Gone Wild.

While President Donolf Trumpler can't tell campus officials "YOU'RE FIRED," he's hinted at cutting off federal funds.

That would be fabulous.

(Image found on Img Flip)

Note:

I was on duty a couple of weeks ago when Milo came to speak at the University of Washington (UW).  So I missed out on his speech, the protests--and the shooting.

Policy Announcement, Protest, Repeat...

Well, here we are on Groundhog Day and it's more likely we'll be seeing the same protests, over and over again--just like in the film.

So far this week seen:

Trump telling Acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, YOU'RE FIRED for not defending his refugee executive order.

180 federal workers plan on following in Yates' footsteps and may meet the same fate.

Protestors outside Senate Minority Leader, Chuck "Fake Tears" Schumer's apartment chanting what the fuck Chuck for not being a bigger obstructionist.

Why all the rage?

Election Day was suppose to be the left's crowning moment of victory.  But it was a victory that was denied them.

And you've heard of sanctuary cities right?

Well how about a sanctuary state?

California Democratic lawmakers moved bills forward to turn The Golden State into an illegal immigrant's welfare paradise.

Despite vetting hysteria vs. facts, snowflakes and crybullies will find another excuse to take to the streets, and another, and another...

The Rebel Media: The Truth About Feminism and Islam

I'm always puzzled how feminists could ally themselves with Muslims, because the Islamic culture's weapons-grade chauvinism level.

I told a coworker it's like the feminist Eloi are sleeping with the Islamist Morlocks.

Sooner or later, are going to find themselves on the menu once their political usefulness is over.
