High-Paid SJW Sits-Out the National Anthem

I don't follow professional sports, and barely watched any of the Summer Olympics in Rio.  While I admire athletic prowess, I despise the prima donna attitudes displayed by a number of athletes.  Especially when these same prima donnas earn more money in a year than an average American will make in their lifetime.

This past weekend one such prima donna sat down during the National Anthem to protest the "oppression of black people."

True, a significant portion of the black community lives in crime-ridden, urban poverty.  But instead of using his success to inspire others, Kaepernick criticizes the country that provides someone from an "oppressed class" an opportunity to become a sports celebrity--and live well above the poverty level.

Does Kaepernick have a right to voice his perceived concerns about oppression of the black community?

Of course.

But I, and many like-minded folks, have the same right to have a low opinion of anyone being disrespectful during the National Anthem.

Hillary's Horrible Week

Trump may have tumbled in the polls, but appears to be bouncing back thanks to the ever-growing E-Mail Scandal and new revelations that she accepted donations for the Clinton Foundation during her tenure as Secretary of State.

She once said she'd respond to "The 3 AM Phone Call." She merely didn't clarify the nature of such a call...
Matt Vespa gives a short synopsis of Hillary's Horrible Week, dropping seven points in the polls in three days.

I hope the trend continues, but about half the voting public may not know about it thanks to our "unbiased" news agencies...
...and while I detest Wikileaks, Assange and his minions are no friends of the Clintons.  Apparently this shady group is working overtime to pull an October Surprise with even more damning data dumps.

We'll see, because no matter what gets thrown at the Clintons, they'll continue to use their default defense...

"Stopping White People" In My Hometown University

I never thought my hometown of Binghamton, NY would be the subject of one of my "WTF?" posts.

However, since it is the home of Binghamton University I should have known better.

Last night, I caught a segment of FOX News' Kelly File about the Residential Assistant (RA) training program known as #StopWhitePeople2K16.

Of course, all things are good under the veneer of "diversity," right?

The Megan Kelly video hasn't been posted on line yet, but the gist of the guest's response to this was:

Can you imagine the outcry if anyone in the country attempted to host a "#StopBlackPeople2K16?"

Indeed.

This story, along with New York's crazy gun laws, makes me glad I'm no longer a subject of the leftist Moffs and Grand Moffs ruling The Empire State.

The Press vs The Polls vs The Presidential Candidates

Apparently the Corrupt Queen can't keep her lies straight, which may be why Hillary hasn't held a press conference in 262 days...and counting.

But being mired in scandals and attempting to cover them with feeble lies is irrelevant to the lamestream media--if you're a Democrat.

About two weeks ago, I mentioned I was skeptical about Trump's tumble in the polls.

I still am.

Despite Trump's tangle with a Gold Star Family, veterans still support the Boorish Billionaire.

And the skepticism about the polls appears to be growing, even among those in the media.  Michael Rosenblum, owner of left-leaning Current TV predicts Trump will win because he's "...great TV."

But Hillary still has her cheerleaders...

...so the Race to the Oval Throne is still in-flux for the next 69 days.

O Golfed While LA Flooded

Once again, Our Dear Leader earned his "Nero Fiddled, While Rome Burned" meme.

Last week, when Louisiana was struck by floods, Hillary napped, Obama golfed, while Trump visited the disaster sites.

What did the non-FOX News networks have to say about Our Dear Leader and Corrupt Queen's apparent indifference?

.

The same media that criticized Dubya about his response to Hurricane Katrina ignores Obama's golf rounds during the LA floods.

Instead, it's been Trump who's been seeking a "photo op" with flood victims.

Maybe.

But to Trump's credit, despite his many faults and failings, issued Obama the challenge to get off the golf course and get down there.

Due to O's "busy schedule", he'll grace Louisianans with his presence sometime this week.

Now to be fair, I know Obama, Hillary or Trump showing up at disaster scenes aren't necessarily helpful.  Recovery efforts have to slow down, or stop altogether, while law enforcement personnel are detailed to provide security in areas VIPs are touring through.

But at least Our Dear Leader, or anyone else in his position, can do is cancel their tee time during such tragic events.

The Neutering of Western Civilization

(Image from:  GruntMafia's Facebook Page)
It's often said that "Rome fell from within."

Every time I read a news story, and select one to post on this blog, I feel Western Civilization in general, and America specifically, are teetering on the brink of collapse.

The sapping of spirit starts with the indoctrination kids receive during their K-12 years.

For example:  Early last week, teachers in NC were told not to call students "boys" or "girls."

And the "death by a thousand cuts" continues on through the "snowflake years" of college and on into adulthood, until an entire segment of society finds some "micro" issue to be upset over.

John Hawkins counts down the seven dumbest things that offends liberals.

I'm sure the list is longer than seven, and unfortunately seems to grow on a daily basis.

Voters' Views of Hillary & Trump

A couple days ago, Michael Barone discussed how today's candidates don't measure up to Roosevelt or Reagan.

Mr. Barone was being too kind in saying the candidates "don't measure up."

I can't remember an election in my lifetime where both presidential candidates were so disliked by voters.

Maybe we'll be seeing these campaign buttons cropping up in an Art-Imitating-Life sort-of way...

Media & Politicians' (In)Attention to Details

I've been out of town and off line for a few days.  So I've only had time to scan headlines.

Which is just as well.  Trump's popularity continues to tumble, with the latest poll giving the Boorish Billionaire a supposedly 11% chance of winning.

Now I'm not one for living in denial, but I've been noticing how the media gets itself worked-up over the things Trump says he'll do if elected.  Meanwhile, the same media moguls and mavens barely muster enough interest make bland comments about any of Hillary's scandals and lies.

I also remember similar comments about being unfit for the presidency being made about The Gipper.

I'm also perplexed by so-called Republicans vowing to vote for Hillary.

Really?

While I can sympathize with the idea of Trump not being a Republican/Conservative's fave, my sympathy only goes so far.

The Diplomad refers to these Never Trumpers as Conservative Republican Jihadi Suicide Bombers.

Beertown Burned

We can now add Milwaukee, WI, to the sad list of city riots.

Over the weekend, an all-too familiar tale occurred:  A black man with a criminal past encountered police, was shot and killed, which ignited a protest, which escalated into rioting.

Milwaukee officials pleaded for calm on Sunday, while the WI National Guard was activated.

Yesterday, it came to light that lo-and-behold, suspect/victim was indeed armed.

As with the previous riots, I'm sure activist groups will continue to push their narrative, despite the facts.

Snowflake Students & Faculty Going Full-Soviet

While there's no massive protests erupting--at the moment--there's still plenty of work for Social Justice Warriors (SJWs), snowflake students and the flaky faculty of universities to do.

Apparently, there's been a push on Yale University to rename the John C. Calhoun residential college, because Johnny C was a supporter of slavery.  Roger Kimball does one better and scathingly suggests the entire university be renamed because Elihu Yale was heavily involved in the slave trade.

But names aren't the only things being target to be chucked down the Memory Hole.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is claiming that the removal of 80-year-old murals is a "business decision."

Someone on Facebook, where I found this story, suggested that alumni make a business decision of not contributing to their alma maters anymore.

Comrade Karla had this to say about the Yale story:

Well, it doesn't get much more Soviet than this. I truly wonder how anybody is learning anything in universities anymore--you can't understand history by pretending it didn't happen--or worse, rewriting it to suite some ideology du jour. Orwell would have recognized this in seconds.

Trump Tumbles in the Polls

Last week, FOX News reported Hillary leading Trump by 10+ points, even though both candidates are viewed as flawed. And yesterday, the battleground map shifted in Clinton's favor.

I'm with The Diplomad on this one, and view the polls, even FOX News', with a hefty dose of skepticism.  Despite the Boorish Billionaire being his own worst enemy by continually putting his foot in his mouth, the real issue remains "Clintobama."

Besides, we know who the non-FOX News, lamestream media is cheering for...

Millions For Tribute, But Not One Cent For Defense!

Three days ago, news broke that the US airlifted $400 million to Iran as detained hostages were released.

The State Department mouthpiece, John Kirby, claimed this was not ransom, claiming the money was funds we froze and are merely giving it back to them.

Funny though, it sure looks like a ransom payment to many Americans.  Or as Charles Krauthammer pointed out, the way business is done by gangsters.

Ollie North said this is the latest of O's lies, while Ralph Peters was even more politically incorrect:

It just plain stinks.

Indeed it does.

And Jonah Goldberg deconstructed the newspeak bandied about by Our Dear Leader and his minions with this zinger:  A pay-off that does all the damage of a ransom payment isn't any better, no matter what you call it.

Some Gold Star Families Are More Equal Than Others

Once again, the Boorish Billionaire put his foot in his mouth.  This time by getting himself entangled in a flame war with a Gold Star Dad.

While I sympathize over any family's loss, when anyone, even Gold Star Families, step into the mud-filled political arena they can't expect to remain clean.  So I haven't paid exact attention to Trump's reaction.

What has caught my attention is the blatant slant being narrated by the non-FOX media.
Allen West compares comments made by MSNBC towards a Benghazi Mom vs Muslim Dad.

(By the way:  Khizr Khan deleted his website, due to possible (actual?) connection to Hillary's campaign).

Michelle Malkin reminds us that not all Muslim soldiers are equal.

And Ann Coulter called out the media cowards for fanning the flames of the Wrath of Khan.

Basically, when it comes to Gold Star Families, the media only covers them when they help Democrats

But this is just the latest, and most visible symptom of the long-term (terminal?) Media Bias Disease.

Last Week's "Marathon Motive Mystery"

Early last week, two Islamo-Morlocks killed--and filmed--the murder of a Catholic priest in France.

This attack was just one of several since the Islamo-Morlock truck driver plowed into the crowd celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France.

In response, the Ruling Class/Media Mandarin Eloi engaged in what Tim Blair called the Marathon Motive Mystery.

Douglas Murray asks:  When will our politicians accept the reality of Islamic terrorism?

The short answer is:  They won't.

Ralph Peters indicts our Eloi leaders for failing to protect Christians in the Middle East, before the Islamo-Morlocks began their European killing sprees.

Jonathan Spyer warns more civil strife lies ahead because western elites are just not equipped to deal with Islam's insurgency.  Frau Merkel for instance, isn't backing down from her open borders decision.

So Bob Gorrell's cartoon can apply to both sides of the Atlantic.

Personally, I'm tired of hearing how mystified our Eloi leaders are by the motives of every "Allahu Adkbar" screaming, rampaging/self-detonating Islamo-Morlock.

So I find myself asking:  What Would Conan the Barbarian Do?

And have responded with this image in response to Islamo-terrorist related posts on Facebook...
