Snowflake Students & Faculty Going Full-Soviet

While there's no massive protests erupting--at the moment--there's still plenty of work for Social Justice Warriors (SJWs), snowflake students and the flaky faculty of universities to do.

Apparently, there's been a push on Yale University to rename the John C. Calhoun residential college, because Johnny C was a supporter of slavery.  Roger Kimball does one better and scathingly suggests the entire university be renamed because Elihu Yale was heavily involved in the slave trade.

But names aren't the only things being target to be chucked down the Memory Hole.

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is claiming that the removal of 80-year-old murals is a "business decision."

Someone on Facebook, where I found this story, suggested that alumni make a business decision of not contributing to their alma maters anymore.

Comrade Karla had this to say about the Yale story:

Well, it doesn't get much more Soviet than this. I truly wonder how anybody is learning anything in universities anymore--you can't understand history by pretending it didn't happen--or worse, rewriting it to suite some ideology du jour. Orwell would have recognized this in seconds.
