FOX News Video: Tucker--The Real Tragedy of Trump's Tweets about Mika

Well, I wasn't in New Zealand, as Tucker Carlson suggested.  But I was disconnected, and for an excellent reason:

I was in South Carolina for my daughter's BIG, FAT WESTERN WEDDIN'!

Sometime after walking my daughter down the aisle, Our Drunk Dialer in-Chief ignited a firestorm for his comments towards Morning Joe's hostess Mika Brzezinski.

I'm with Tucker on this one.  Our Grand Nagus needs to stay focused and not get distracted by the media personalities that loathe him.

I can almost hear Guy Benson sighing heavily as he typed this one:

So, I guess we have to talk about Trump's stupid Twitter war with Mika Brzezinski, huh?

One of the reasons why I'm talking about this storm-in-a-teacup is semi-personal.

Before I even read-up on this story, a Facebook friend issued an ultimatum demanding that everyone who continues to support Trump to unfriend him.

So I did.  The last time I did this, over a year ago, it took me three days to decide whether to comply or not.  This time it took me three seconds.

Not because I agree with Our Grand Nagus' crude comments.  Mika is a good looking gal--facelift or not.  It's just that I won't remain cyber-pals with anyone who demands I agree with them 100% of the time on 100% of their pet peeves.

Highlighting Leftist Hypocrisy

There's a lot going on in the US and beyond our borders, which I'm still watching and reading about.

So for now, since leftists have been perpetuating the narrative that the GOP provoked last week's shooting, then I'll perpetuate highlighting their hypocrisy.

I've been observing the liberal media's double standard since the end of the Carter Administration.  I'm sure it's been operating on two-tracks long before that.

Now the double standard has reached weapons-grade proportions.

We can predict with near-certainty what the leftist media reaction would be if a Trump supporter shot a Democratic congressman.

MSNBC hostess, Joy Reid (among others) politicized Scalise's shooting even as the congressman is still in recovery.

And of course, the leftists' collective default position to actual shootings is always--blame law-abiding firearms owners, but they'll consider their own assassination fantasies to be "brave" and "edgy."

Resetting Bad to Good, Back to Bad Again

Remember back in Dubya's Days in the White House how leftists ranted over the Texan Cowboys' many bad policies and decisions.  (Oh there were some to be sure).

Then in 08 Our Dear Leader Obama was elected, and almost overnight leftists were okay with whatever policies of Dubya's Barry O decided to maintain.

Now Our Grand Nagus is dictating hateful programs from Trump Tower the White House.  Take the "Muslim Ban," for instance:  Barry O sanctioned the same nations Trump has, but no one in the Supreme Court banged their gavel over it.

Leftist politicians and media types continue banging their own gavel's over Trump's "Russian Connection."

However, they overlook when the Russian ambassador visited Obama at the White House 22 times.

Switching from good to bad opinions about the same policies by different presidents requires a lot of mental flexibility...

The Day the Swamp Stood Still?

I thought I'd end this week on a humorous note, especially one that pays homage to the classic sci-fi movie The Day the Earth Stood Still, coupled with Our Drunk-Dialer-in-Chief's (in)famous covfefe comment.

America's Political/Social Divide

A couple days ago, gunman James Hodgkinson, opened fire on the GOP's baseball practice.  House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise, along with three others were wounded in the attack.

In the wake of the shooting, there's a plethora of op-eds advocating gun control (from the left of course), along with denouncing "violent rhetoric" (oddly from the right, but primarily used to rub leftists' collective noses in their hypocrisy, along with anti-Trump hysteria).

Leftists often do accuse conservatives of being inherently violent, because of small number of fringe losers.  However, it appears leftists themselves are the ones who are seduced en-masse by violence (SteynPost #17 video).

Under such a hostile political-social divide that seems to widen after any and every attack, VDH asks:  Can a divided America survive?

Abraham Lincoln didn't think so.

Trump Pardox Pandemonium

(Image found on Political Cartoons)
As I'm writing this, AG Sessions is getting grilled before Congress, in order to find Trump guilty of--being Trump--I guess.

I'll read through the "Cliff Notes" commentaries once the dust settles for this round of The Russian Connection Theatre.

In the meantime, VDH wrote a thoughtful article about the endless ironies of Donald Trump.

Basically, its not just Blue Staters and Deep Staters that are feeling the blues about the Our Grand Nagus' presidency...

Comey Chameleon's Congressional Confession

I've made no pretense about being unbiased, or to borrow FOX News' byline: Fair and Balanced.

So when it comes to Our Grand Nagus' supposed Manchurian Candidacy, my bar is set very low for three reasons:

1. Trump's "Russian Connections" doesn't equal the scope of Obama's "Parade of Phony Scandals."
2. Ditto for two-time-loser-presidential candidate Hillary.
3. Which, in turn, makes me glad we're not living under a Hillary Presidency.

Comrade Karla responded to an on-line friend concerned with the erosion of trust the "Russian Investigation" is causing with a trifecta observation of his own:

Some of this is new territory because for the first time there's constant exposure to what is going on "in the White House."  In the past there has always been a filter.   It's different because we have (1) Trump's constant tweeting, (2) leakers inside the bureaucracy, if not the WH and (3) a deranged media establishment.  It's a perfect storm.

Because the storm winds are still being whipped-up by the deranged media, every news agency was glued to Comey Chameleon's (Karma Chameleon) testimony before Congress.

Since I'm playing catch-up with last week's news, here's some "Cliff Notes" from some of my favorite commentators:

John Hawkings provides seven take-aways from Comey's hearing.

The Diplomad called the hearing a serving of Nothingburger with fries.  (Or maybe fishbones and chips as the led photo suggests).

Mark Steyn only wanted to make a couple points on the Comeytose State, but got on a roll and ended up making six.

Kurt Schlichter called the political theater From Russia With Stupidity.

Even before the curtain rose on last week's performance, my mind was already set before Derek Hunter made his assessment:  Comey deserved to be fired.

Despite the former g-man's poor performance, there's still news headlines of the "Russian Investigation" still chugging along.

Meanwhile, as the deranged media and deranged Democrats continue chasing their collective tails, one deep state leaker, Reality Winner, was caught and denied bail.

Seattle's Sharia-Collaborating Sheeple

While I'm still catching-up on Comey's Congressional performance, I thought I'd write a quick piece on some local news that caught my eye.

Yesterday, Seattle was the scene of competing protests.

The Seattle Times crowed about how the "Seattle Stands With Our Muslims Neighbors" outnumbered the "March Against Sharia."

Well good for them.

The article pointed out that Sharia is not the law of the land here in the US.

True.

But Sharia isn't the official law in any of the nations in western Europe either.

And look at the havoc our jihadist enemies have wrought across the pond.

Last week, on the Anniversary of D-Day, Pat Buchanan asked if we're in a Forever War?

Until we as a society can confidently identify our enemies then the short answer will be "yes."

To help recognize the jihadists and their wannabees among us, Andrew McCarthy pointed out that the problem in London [and elsewhere, I'd add] is not "Islamic Extremism."

That is, a disturbing--and far greater number--of Muslims would favor the implementation of Sharia Law without going on a one-way jihadi killing spree.

What always astounds me is how leftists consider those of us who want to bar the gates from the Islamist barbarians to be the enemy of civilization.

Not "Getting Use To It"

Today, Her Majesty's subjects will be at the polls electing a new prime minister, or re-electing the current one.

The latest terror attacks in the UK don't seem to have affected the pre-election polls.

If so, it's just another sign of Brits "getting use" to their new normal.

But not everyone got the Royal One Love Memo.

The three jihadists who knifed their way across London Bridge were delayed at a pub by a Millwall soccer fan, who stood his ground, shouted "Fuck you, I'm Millwall," which allowed the other pub goers to escape.

There needs to be more "fuck yous" in response to terrorist attacks and less "one loves."

FOX News Video: Steyn--We're Not Being Honest About the Nature of the Enemy

Mark Steyn nails it in this video.  For years, during Obama's Era of Hope & Change, government officials and the non-FOX News media have avoided tying the words "Muslim" with "extremist."

But to be fair, even during Dubya's Cowboy Diplomacy Era, words were often softened to deflect the wrath of the PC Commissars.

While vapid celebrities, like Katy Perry, blather-on about always choosing love, Kellyanne Conway showed she's made of sterner stuff by defending Our Grand Nagus' travel ban and declaring terror cannot be the new normal.

Finally, Gutfeld got it right by saying it's time to take out the trash.

Trump Eclipses Paris Climate Accord

Last week while I was writing about terrorism and celebrity pity parties, Our Grand Nagus withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement.

I agree with Eric Erickson's assessment, that pulling out of the agreement was the right decision.  That is:  It's not a Senate-ratified treaty, it would adversely affect the American economy, and really not do anything to combat climate change, as Bjorn Lomborg explained in this Prager U video.
Greg Gutfeld called it the world's worst lotto ticket.

Then there's wealthy leftist hypocrisy.  They're demanding us serfs cut back on our lifestyles, while retain their mansions, private jets and SUVs.

Of course, leftists have lost their collective minds over this; along with every other "crimes against humanity" Our Climate Change Denier-in-Chief has committed since the election.

Hell, even before the election.

Jihadists Attack Pedestrians on London Bridge

(Image from:  NPR's report of the terrorist attack on London Bridge)

On the evening before Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester Concert, three jihadists who weren't interested in reading the One Love Memo, mowed down and killed seven people on London Bridge. Forty-eight people were injured in the attack.

London police launched raids shortly afterwards and arrested a dozen suspects.

Meanwhile, back on this side of the pond Our Grand Nagus criticized political correctness and made the case for his travel ban.

This of course put some leftists in a tail spin.  At least two celebrities posted unhelpful tweets--along being careful not to use the phrase "Islamic jihad."

I'm with The Diplomad on this:  I'm sick of terrorist attacks' tiresome trajectory.

Mark Steyn noted that a lot more than London Bridge is falling down.

Instead of being told to "get use" to the frequent carnage...

(Image from:  Orc Memes)

...western leaders should at least employ one simple solution:  Stop importing terrorism.

Mark's Commonwealth bud, Nigel Farage demanded:  We don't want words on terror, we want action.

A Tale of Two Pity Parties

This week, we've seen two women whining about their fall from grace.

Or more precisely--their graceless fall.

First, there was the Woman Who Would Be Queen, Hillary Clinton, whining about the NYT's coverage of her "nothing burger" e-mail scandal and how her own DNC screwed her over.

The good news is, Democrats are starting to break ranks and say GET OVER IT.  Even left-of-Left Al Franken said "...we do have to move on."

Of course, it's because they want to win upcoming elections, and Hillary's blame-gaming is becoming a millstone around the DNC's collective neck.

But hey.  Sometimes self-interest can be a good thing.

Even hosts on non-FOX News stations are mocking her.

And then there's Kathy Guillotine Griffin.

Apparently, Griffin didn't want to be upstaged by Hillary, so she hosted a pity party press conference of her own.

Griffin's griping that Our Grand Nagus--and his family of Lesser Naguses--are trying to ruin her life forever.

Nah.  She managed that all on her own and deserves her comeuppance.

Even Lefty-Left Al realized political discretion was the better part of social justice valor and suggested it would be best if Griffin didn't participate in his upcoming book event.

Griffin's career is certainly ballooning-up--just not in the way she intended.
Since both women seem to be suffering from Humble Pie Intolerance, we'll probably continue to weeping and wailing from the Whining Duet for some time.

Guillotine Griffin's Photo Faux Pas

Earlier this week, Kathy Griffin ignited a firestorm of outrage across the political spectrum with her faux decapitation of Our Grand Nagus photo stunt.

Within 24 hours, Guillotine Griffin found herself severed from CNN

There's plenty of "WTF?" responses from news and entertainment sites.  However, while it may be delightful to indulge in a lenghty, schadenfreude-fueled post, I'll leave off with just these key articles:

First, the Bad News.  Griffin's gaffe represents the Left's visceral hatred of Trump and us Deplorables.

But the Good News is--leftists are freaking out, because everything they try makes them look stupider.

Video: SteynPost #16--The Rituals of Post-Terror Management

In this video, Mark Steyn discusses what I call the "tiresome trajectory" of post-terrorist attack response throughout the western world.

While in a follow-up article, he focuses on the ruin of England in the aftermath of the Manchester Bombing.
