As I was about to head to the gym this morning, I came across Yahoo News mournful headline:
End of an Era in Cuba as Revolutionary Fidel Castro Dies.
Well it's about freakin' time!
For some reason I remember this political cartoon, penned back in Slick Willy's presidency...

For the record, I like Trump's slam better.
In local news, the People's Democratic Republic of Seattle's propaganda paper, the Seattle Times, had this glowing headline:
Fidel Castro, Who Defied US for 50 Year, Dies at 90 in Cuba.
The Diplomad was far less charitable, hoping the dead dictator rots in Hell (RIH).
Since it's still the Thanksgiving Weekend, Fidel's final departure is something else we can all be thankful for. Too bad he didn't die earlier, like in 1959.
Wishful thinking aside, I suppose Castro's grizzled image will now be added with Che Guevara's...
