...it's about freedom from State coercion.
A week or so back, the CEO of Chick-fil-a ran afoul of liberal orthodoxy, when he made a public comment about his views on traditional marriage. So much liberal ire has been raised that a couple of politicians have already threatened they'll deny permits for any franchise within their fiefdoms.
On the other hand, it's okay for those of an islamic persuasion to hold even sterner views, as Mark Steyn points out.
