Today Bradley Manning confessed.
No, not admitting to treason.
Instead, Bradley confessed to being a woman trapped in a man's body and would now like to be known as Chelsea.
I agree with Elizabeth Sheld on this one. If he wants to live as a woman, fine.
One other thing bothers me--other than Bradley's 15 minutes of infamy going into overtime--is this: The media types are already refering to Bradley as "her."
Well, until the hormone treatment/gender-realignment surgery is completed, or at least gets underway, Bradley is still biologically a "him."
But I guess when your a liberal democrat, or a liberal media darling, you can claim to be anything you want: From being a Cherokee Indian, to being a woman even though your body is sporting all guy-parts.
And everyone on the political left will merely nod "yes." Not to mention, bashing us conservative-ish types for being insensitive/racist/sexist/homo & Islamo-phobic, etc. for pointing out the obvious facts.
My friends and I often describe how Orwellian our society is becoming (already is?): We're being told 2 + 2 is indeed 5.
In the meantime, Manning's supporters will have to do a considerable amount of editing...
If they let him into regular population at Leavenworth, he might not be a woman but he will be somebodies punk.
ReplyDeleteI figure he already knows this. Since he claims to have had gender identity issues all/most of his life, he probably thinks--why not go all the way? :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I think the media, his supporters and even the LGBT community are being played. His "I'm Chelsea" proclamation is a distraction to his crime and keeps his 15 Minutes of Infamy in perpetual motion.
