Big Government's Epic Fail While Gun Grabbers Blame Law Abiding Citizens

Shortly after my previous post went live, news broke about the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School's resource officer stayed outside during Cruz's killing spree.

And shortly after this bombshell, it was revealed that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies remained outside while students were being slaughtered.

Mark Steyn was spot-on to observe this was A total failure of the state, and what is needed is a calm, rational debate is the key to discussions about gun control.

Instead, what us law-abiding, Second Amendment advocates keep getting is "Two Minutes of Hate".  And not just from CNN, but across the entire electronic and cyber spectrum.

For the most part, I've written in-support of our state and local law enforcement agencies. That being said though, Broward County Sheriff, Scott Israel, looks like a total asshole engaged in CYA ("Cover Your Ass"), which falls in-line with the gun grabbers' goals.

Jesse Watters points out Big Government's perpetual state of failure--and Big Government advocates want an even bigger government.

Non-Jihadi Known Wolf's Red Flags

I was on duty this past Valentine's Day.

But instead of being bombarded by news stories about love & romance during my shift, my partner and I were subjected to the unfolding story of Nikolas Cruz killing 17 people and wounding 14 more at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL.

Before all the facts were known about this heart-wrenching event; Democrats, the media and celebrities began braying about gun control.

And in keeping with their Never-Let-A-Crisis-Go-To-Waste tactic, they've been braying non-stop ever since.

Brittany Hughes called them out for exploiting traumatized children to push their anti-gun agenda.

Derek Hunter followed-suit, and explained how the leftist Exploitation Machine is rolling on.

Don't think the Left's ultimate goal is to ban all scary-looking rifles?

Well, they seemed to have tipped their hand during a CNN-sponsored townhall meeting two nights ago. Or, as Matt Vespa called it:  A North Korean kangaroo court peddling gun confiscation.

The Diplomad warned that the "common sense" gun control leftists advocate will be weaponized like every other agency and program they're in charge of.

The problem, as us like-minded folks see it, isn't the scary-looking guns, but the perpetrators themselves and those who've enabled them.

(Image found on Me.Me)

While Cruz wasn't an "Allahu Akbar" screaming jihadist, he was a known wolf to the FBI, and local law enforcement.  But even prior to the "missed" red-flags, Broward County Schools colluded with local law enforcement.  Together, they implemented the "Broward County Solution", where a dozen misdemeanor offenses were downgraded to school-related issues.

But the leftist narrative has been dominating the airwaves and cyberspace.  Blame is leveled at the Republican Party and the National Rifle Association, instead of with the perpetrator and his enablers.

My first ex-wife tried blaming me for a hurricane.  Her logic was:  If you didn't join the military, cross train in the Tactical Air Control field, we wouldn't be stationed at Fort Bragg and have to deal with this.

Ever since that watershed event in my Hell-on-Earth first marriage, I'm easily triggered over being blamed for something I didn't do.  So as a Republican voter and lifetime member of the NRA, I'm openly hostile against such claims that I, along with fellow voters and members, "have blood on our hands."

Fortunately, instead of me shouting back "BS!" or "Foxtrot Yankee!" to such slander, Kurt Schlichter has more practical advice on how to beat 7 of the terrible leftist gun control arguments.

On the flip-side, Meredith Drake-O'Conner discussed the 6 reasons why your right-wing friend isn't coming to your side on gun control.

Ben Shapiro, meanwhile, advocated a "novel concept:"  Have our law enforcement agencies enforce the law.

Which was Item #2 on Kevin McCullough's 7 Simple Steps to Eliminate School Shootings Overnight.

While Mr. McCullough's ideas may, sadly, not completely eliminate school shootings, they'd be more effective than the left's gun-grabbing fetish.

Which they won't find acceptable anyway because it will run contrary to their Anti-Gun Narrative.  So unfortunately we'll never know if these steps will actually work.

Instead, we'll be treated to upcoming stunts like the Student Lie-In at the White House (27 Feb), a 17-minute nation-wide walk-out by teachers and students (14 Mar), followed by anti-gun violence demonstrations ten days later.

The Media Sycophants of Rocket Man's Sis

The 2018 Winter Olympics opened last week, and North Korea's participation has received widespread coverage--to the point of disgraceful, Olympic-level fawning.

Why?

Well, here's one reason:

CNN was also irked by our Race Bannon look-a-like VP for "missing an opportunity" in chatting with Kim Jong Un's sister, N. Korea's propaganda minister.

The sucking-up to Kim's sister, Kim Jo Yong, wasn't limited to CNN either.

Chris Reeves provided a sample of leftist media lickspittle.

Despite the backlash, the NYT CEO felt the fawning was "good reporting."

Well, the "good reporting" overlooked the fact that "The Hunger Games" are a reality in North Korea.

Here's some folks who haven't overlooked reality--

--Brittany Hughes rolled-in on the mealy mouthed media with her Reality Check.

--Greg Gutfeld concocted a Valentine's Day tribute to Kim Yo Jong.

--Kurt Schlichter reminded us that the leftist media's slobbering over the Norks reminds us why we have the Second Amendment.

I posted this comparison, along with Bob Gorrell's latest political cartoon on Facebook:

Watching the media fawning over Rocket Man's kid sister (who's gainfully employed as the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea's Minister of Propaganda and Agitation) is like watching Jane Fonda frolicking on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun.

The Ebbing Away of Empathy

(Image from Houston Style Magazine's article:  4 Reasons Your Phone Is Stopping You From Finding Your Soulmate)

Valentine's Day is two days away.

And yet, instead of today's technology bringing us closer together, it seems to be exacerbating the political social divides we have among each other--even between soulmates.

David Cullen, the tech savvy host of Computing Forever, warned about the growing smartphone (and social media) addiction.

That was five years ago--and before the mass emotional meltdowns after the 2016 Presidential Election.

Now, he observes there's an Internet Empathy Deficit.

He's not the only one.

Mark Steyn, in his Among the Empathizers video points out that today's virtue-signalling snowflakes not only lack empathy towards those they currently disagree with, but also towards people in the past, who lived under different circumstances.

Which leads to ding-bat decisions like this:  Duluth schools drop "Huckleberry Finn," and "To Kill A Mockingbird" from its curriculum.

I've often commented on how Orwellian our society is becoming.

I wonder at what point will we reach Fahrenheit 451?

FISA Memo Mayhem

Last week's news was dominated by one question:  Will Our Grand Nagus declassify THE MEMO?

He did by the end of the week--and the Donkey Drove hasn't stopped braying about it since.

Here is what's got the Democrats in an uproar.

But they'll get their chance.

Yesterday, the House (Lack of) Intelligence Committee voted to release the Democratic Memo.  So now Our Grand Nagus has five days to decide whether or not to release it.

Until then, getting back to The Memo at-hand:  The Mem[not so]Wow hasn't revealed anything us like-minded folks didn't know, or at least suspect, before.

That is:  What REALLY happened was that Corrupt Queen Hillary and her cronies concocted a phony dossier, and convinced one or more FISA judges to okay surveillance on Team Trump, while at the same time calling-in favors among DNC operatives to purge Bolshevik Bernie from the Democratic Primary.

Of course, leftists don't see it that way.

They have been in meltdown mode ever since the memo was released.  Democrats were desperate to kill it, while their media allies were--for the first time ever--against government transparency.

The Diplomad re-asks the question he did over a year ago:  Why would the Bare-Chested Czar want a bad deal by getting Trump elected?

It's unsettling for half of America to realize leftist political operatives have been, well, operating among our intelligence services.  What's even more disturbing is the unanswered question of:  Did the FISA Court know the warrant request was based on information paid for by Clinton cronies?

Mark Steyn observed: Trump's teaching a lesson--there's a bigger scandal afoot.

Kurt Schlichter had this dire warning:  Libtards and Cuckservatives hate democracy.

Paul Joseph Watson Video, (and Commentaries): Idiots React to Trump's State of the Union

I wanted to start off this blog with FOX News' Trump's 2018 State of the Union Address in Four Minutes video.

However, it seems like the commissars that oversee Google/Blogspot/YouTube wouldn't let me transfer the video.

So we'll have to "settle" for Paul Joseph Watson's review of the Idiots reaction to Our Grand Nagus' first SOTUS.

He wasn't the only one with a keen eye and scathing commentary, as sore losing leftists pouted throughout the whole televised event.

Britteny Hughes' latest Reality Check pointed out that leftist lawmakers don't just hate Trump. They hate America...

...and just about everything else America stands for—along with their fellow non-Democrat voting Americans.

The crew of The Five put in their five cents on the Democrats' petulance.

Tucker Carlson called out the Democrats’ "resistance" as nihilism.

And Hannity said they are empty and void as a party.

The night prior to the "Dimocrats" pouting during the SOTUS, leftist celebrities hosted their People's State of the Union.

Speaking of "We the People..."  Trump's SOTUS resonated with the majority of voters.

As Laura Ingraham said on her show last night:   They’ve gone so far left, that they’ve left America.

Paul Joseph Watson Video: Annoying Hypocritical Celebrities (A Post Grammy Review)

Sore-losing leftist are Hell-bent on sucking the fun out of the arts and entertainment, along with every public and televised event.

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards was held this past Sunday (28 January) was--predictably--no different.

But for all the politically-charged fire & fury, the show's ratings tanked to a potential all-time low.

Ben Shapiro's video mirrored PJW's.

I think the last time I watched an awards show was the 76th Academy Awards, back in 2004, when Lord of the Rings: Return of the King swept the Oscars and just about every other award for 2003.

I've also "taken a knee" over professional football because I'm disgusted with the players' refusal to stand for our National Anthem.  So I don't plan on watching the upcoming Superbowl LII.

Diogenes' Middle Finger issued a great slam prior to the Grammys:  Just because we pay you to entertain us doesn't mean we're anymore more interested in your opinion now than when you were waiting on tables.

I'm currently writing this on the eve of another event I don't plan on watching:  The Peoples State of the Union, in which Bolshevik Bernie is getting-in on the act.

I'll probably spend this Sunday composing a blog post about both States of the Union during the Superbowl.

Stay tuned!

Government Shut Down Shuffle

A couple days ago, Our Grand Nagus signed a bill ending the government shutdown--until 8 February.

The critical issue was:  Democrats wanted to keep our borders open to illegal immigrants...

...while Trump was willing to deal--if Democrats approve of building The Wall along the US-Mexican Border.

The Dems refused, but Chuck Schumer shut down the government for no reason.

But of course, people like former DNC Chair tried putting a spin on why they support illegal aliens over American citizens.

It appears the Democrats caved simply because they felt--quite rightly--that public opinion was turning against them.  Although many aren't happy with Schumer's cave-in.

Now the Republicans aren't blameless in all this mess either.

They've had a majority in both Houses of Congress since the 2016 Election--and they're still having trouble, or are reluctant to fulfill their collective campaign promises.  Like repealing Obamacare.

We'll see if a permanent-ish budget bill is passed more smoothly in a couple of weeks.

Somehow, I doubt it.

"No One Voluntarily Moves to Haiti"

Last week, Our Grand Nagus allegedly asked:  why are we allowing people from shithole countries to come here?

Which to us like-minded folks is a good question, and helped propel Trump to the presidency in 2016.

However, the lamestream had a meltdown that was a sight to behold.

The mass-hysteria wasn't limited to the news networks either.

I came across some triggered posts on Facebook.

The triggering wasn't limited of cyberspace virtue signalling either.

One day at the gym, a handful of elderly men were complaining about how Trump "shouldn't say things like that."  Then they carried-on like Hollywood celebrities pondering the possibility of moving to Australia or New Zealand.

Funny how they didn't wax poetic about moving to Haiti.

Apparently, the proletariat prefers a president that speaks fluent PC (political correctness).

But as Mark Steyn points out in the led video--no one voluntarily moves to Haiti.  Or any other dysfunctional country, for that matter.

Paul Joseph Watson called out the bloviating lefties who won't be booking holiday packages to Haiti any time soon.

Brittany Hughes called out the same lefties for their nauseating, drummed-up moral outrage, especially when they call America a shithole all the time.

And finally, here's Megan Fox with her Top 10 Shitholes Nobody Wants to Visit--bloviating lefties.

Oprah's Possible Run for the Presidency

Oprah Winfrey's acceptance speech at last Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, ignited a firestorm of speculation as to whether or not she'll run for president in 2020.

Leftists are excited to no end about the idea of an Oprah Administration.

A couple of years ago though, they were screaming helplessly at the sky...

(Image from Liberty Memes Page)
...but somehow times have miraculously changed.

As Kurt Schichter, and others, have pointed out:  All the other Democratic candidates are even worse.

One of my on-line friends asked:  If she gets elected, does that mean we'll all get new cars?

Probably not, but here's one item we can count on getting:

There's some divergence of opinion as to whether Oprah's speech as good or bad.

Mark Steyn said she was, by far, the least idiotic person at that awards ceremony.

That may be, but Ben Shapiro debunked her talking points, along with weighing the strengths and weaknesses of Candidate Oprah.

The buzz-phrase in Oprah's speech that drew the most ire from conservative commentators was "...your truth."

But as Brittany Hughes pointed out:  There's no such thing as "your truth."

Ben Shapiro's tweet as along similar lines:  There's the truth, and your opinion, along with several reasons why Oprah cannot be president.

And one of the biggest reasons, and a scandal just about every commentator has mention at least in passing. is her association with Harvey Weinstein.

Potential Landslide in South-Central Washington

Nearly four years ago, the Oso Mudslide caught nearly everyone by surprise.

Everyone, that is, outside Snohomish County.

Since then, landslide reporting has become a major issue here in Washington State.

Last month, I was on duty when a representative from Yakima County's Department of Emergency Management called to warn us about the unstable condition of Rattlesnake Ridge.

It's now speculated that the potential landslide could be worse than officials expect.

Back in 2014, I came on duty three full days after the Oso Mudlside occurred.  Our agency, WA State Department of Emergency Management, was fully activated and our Emergency Operations Center was still frantically busy.  If I recall correctly, we remained activated until nearly June of that year.

None of us at our agency want to go through that again.

And more importantly, the residents living near Rattlesnake Ridge don't want to experience a landslide first-hand.
