Libtards Lose It Over Loss of Terrorist Commander

While many of us inside the Ramparts of Civilization were ringing-in "the Roaring 20s 2.0," Iranian-backed groups of Shi'ite militia attempted to roar into the American Embassy in Baghdad.

The American Ministry of Truth went into full-fake news mode by calling the military-age males assaulting our embassy "protesters," or "mourners."  Then the chattering class wondered if this incident was Our Grand Nagus' "Benghazi."

They didn't have to wonder long.

By Friday, 3 January, Qasem_Soleimani, commander of Iran's Islamic_Revolutionary_Guard_Corps (IRGC), and his entourage, found themselves within the impact area of a Hellfire missile strike.

Since then, all Hell has broken loose among Dimtards, libtards and snowflakes.

Wimpy libtards apologized to Iran and begged for mercy.

YouTuber Sargon of Akkad hosted the "best" celebrity tweets of their collective grovelling.

Dan Bongino wondered what team are the Dimtards on?

Not only were libtards mourning the loss of another "austere religious scholar," but hysteria over "World War III" and a return of the Draft reached fever-pitch, causing the Selective Service website to crash.

Several commentators have been calling out folks on the right for wanting to "nuke Tehran," or other such calls for full-escalation of tension.

Paul Joseph Watson highlighted all the World War Cringe across the political spectrum.

I 'm not calling for escalation, but I'm all for taking evildoers, regardless of their bona fides.  I never bought-in to the mind-set that taking out a bad guy only upsets all the other bad guys.  T

Besides, the hue & cry going on in Iran now hasn't changed since the Iranian_Revolution.

Sure, Our Grand Nagus upset the 40-year proxy war Iran has been waging against us by sending a clear message.

The current situation kinda reminds me of the Star Trek episode A Taste of Armageddon:  An alpha-male has upset the "acceptable level of violence" apple cart and folks on both sides of the on-going undeclared war are freaking out.

Despite the rhetoric by the Iranians and the war-draft hysteria here in America, the likelihood of an all-out war appears to be low for now.

The Diplomad recommends we should be open to negotiations with Iran--but tell them we will dismantle their entire infrastructure if they continue to escalate.

While the "Trump Doctrine" has humiliated foreign enemies and domestic libtards, the Dimtards aren't taking Our Grand Nagus' action lying down.  Nancy Pelosi--who still hasn't forwarded the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate--is concocting a new & improved War Powers Resolution.

Meanwhile, as we wait for possible retaliation by the Iranians--or the Dimtards--we can at least enjoy the plethora of memes the sprung up within hours of Soleimani's unlamented demise.

Here's some of my favorites:

(Image found on Facebook)

(Image found on Facebook)

This is my #1 choice:

(Image found on Facebook)
I don't know why, but I find memes involving Conan the Dog to be especially funny, which is odd because I'm not what one would call a "dog lover."

I shared the Conan & Trump image with the following comment:  Our Grand Nagus received top professional advice before authorizing the strike against Soleimani.

Anyway, if written parody is more your style, there's these gems...

The People's Cube has a faux romance cover for terrorist eulogies while satire site, Babylon Bee claims Democrats called for flags to be flown at half-staff to grieve the death of Soleimani.

I'm sure there'll be more incidents to come that we'll find both amusing and appalling as we near Election Day 2020.

Pentagon Papers 2.0

I never read any of The Pentagon Papers.  I was still in grade school when the scandal initially erupted, was aware of the gist of the issue but never bothered to delve deeply into it.

Basically, a number of leaders and sections of the Department of Defense lied to Congress and the American public about various aspects of the US involvement in the Vietnam War.

One would think "The Pentagon" learned its lesson.

Apparently not.

Amid all the nothingburgers Congressional Dimtards are cooking up attempting to unseat Trump the Usurper, a true bombshell detonated earlier this week.

The Washington Post (WaPo) broke the story of confidential documents revealed US officials failed to tell the truth about the war in Afghanistan.

My paltry experience in the post-9/11 middle east consists of three 3-month rotations and none of them were to Afghanistan.

One of my friends at work was assigned to a special operations support unit and has 4 year-long rotations under his belt.

He said that when he noticed the civilian contractors in Afghanistan outnumbered military personnel, he figured all we were doing was "feeding the military-industrial complex."

My comment to Comrade Karla who informed us of this debacle was:

Lessons learned from 'Nam & The 'Stan--
--Kill bad guys
--break their toys
--forgo "nation-building/winning-the-hearts-and-minds,"
--leave enemy-held facilities a smoking ruin.

His response:  Rubble makes no trouble.

Seriously, I'm all for punitive raids, like "Bag Baghdadi," but I'd rather not see America continue shedding blood & treasure in shithole countries with no clear-cut objective of achieving victory.

More Murder in Mexico

A few days ago in norther Mexico, several Americans were killed and several more wounded--all women and children--when their family convoy was ambushed by drug cartel gunmen.

The Mormon family appears to have been targeted, but no one knows exactly why.

Relatives of the victims think their loved ones were used as bait in clash between rival drug gangs.

And since we live in Clown World, the LA Times didn't want to be left out of the "Woke Awards." Their initial article initially insinuating the family was targeted because of "...it's long history of violence..."  The headline was changed after the ensuing backlash.

What does have a long history of violence is Mexico, with all the trappings of a failed state.  The nation's murder rate hit an all-time high last year.

Sadly, for people on both sides of the border, the killings didn't seem to slow down for this year.

Of course, the American libtard media is making sure Obama's "Fast and Furious" program remains in the Memory Hole.

Regardless of the causes and blame for all the violence it's crazy to have an open and unenforced border with a country overrun by it's drug cartels.

But this is just another aspect of America's Clown World.

Ministry of Truth Mourns Dead Terrorist Leader

On Sunday, 27 October, Our Grand Nagus announced that the founder of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed by an American special ops raid.

Us normal people would consider this "a good thing."

But not so for the outlets of the Ministry of Truth.

The Washington Post (WaPo) took top Fake News of the Week "honors."  At one point during the news cycle, the newspeak-laced headline referred to Baghdadi as an "austere religious scholar," coupled with a sympathetic eulogy.

It seems like the WaPo staff wasn't prepared for the backlash, so they modified the headline, for the third time and finally settled on calling Baghdadi an "extremist leader."

I wish I could report WaPo's sympathy for the dead "religious scholar" was an isolated incident.

Unfortunately, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) has infected every outlets of the Ministry of Truth.

The media seems determined to have their reputation follow Baghdadi.  For instance, conservative commentator-turned NeverTrumper, Max Boot, claimed it wasn't a cowardly act for Baghdadi to blow himself up along with 3 of his children.

I found it funny that Our Grand Nagus notified the Russians before Schiff and Pelosi...

...and for good reason.

Salty Cracker listed several other Dimtards who weren't enthused about the operation.

Fortunately, we have commentators like Mark Steyn who know how to write a headline, along with pro-American article like this:  Baghdadi Bagged.

The silver-lining fallout resulting in the inept attempt at newspeak has resulted in the WaPo being reduced to meme-fodder.

Here's a sample from Martina Markota's Facebook page:

I didn't know the WaPo's motto was changed in 2017 to:  Democracy Dies in Darkness.

I made the following suggestion in several Comments Section:

Maybe the WaPo should change it's motto to:  Journalistic Ethics Dies in the Full Light of Day.

I also found this timely meme in the wake of the untimely demise of the "austere religious scholar:"

(Image from:  Rough Cut Men)

I'd like to say the Fake News Industrial Complex has hit rock bottom.

But I'm sure the next time breaking news breaks--they'll start digging.

Leftist Triggered by Trump's SOTU (2019)

Last Tuesday (5 February), I was on-duty and was able to watch most of Our Grand Nagus' State of the Union (SOTU) Address (entire video via PBS).

I liked it, so did The Diplomad, and about 76% of the viewers polled by CNN. Michael Barone found Trump's SOTU surprisingly reflective and disciplined, while The Amazing Lucas said Trump "killed it."

You know who didn't like Trump the Usurper's speech?

Democrats, and leftists in-general.

Not what I'd call a surprise.

Liz Wheeler provided us with a synopsis on the 8 things Democrats refused to applaud for.

They didn't even like being called "Democrats" and prefer to be called "Democratic."

To be honest, I didn't know this.  I thought the term "Democratic" referred to a political process and not a political party.

Anyway, the "Dimocrats" as my friend & I like to call them, certainly showed their true colors during the SOTU...

Border Crisis and Continued Government Shutdown

Earlier this week, Our Grand Nagus addressed the nation on border security, making his case to fund The Wall.

Of course, Schumer and Pelosi made a televised counter-speech, which became instant meme-fodder.  Townhall determined two of the most popular memes.

The day after the dueling speeches, Trump met with Chuck & Nancy for a few minutes--literally.

So we remain at an impasse both on border security and the government shutdown.

Meanwhile, the non-FOX News media sided with Chuck & Nancy claiming the border crisis is "fake news." However, even the WaPo concedes there is, in fact, a crisis along the border.

Despite this concession, most of the media is throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks.

Several conservative commentators were relieved Our Grand Nagus didn't declare a state of emergency.  (See Guy Benson's Good, Bad & Ugly about the stalemate).

Of course, Dimocrats and the snowflake minions have flipped-out over the notion.

However, according to at least one law professor, Trump the Usurper does have the power to declare a national emergency--thanks in large part due to Democrats acquiescing power to the Executive Branch over the years.

Chuck & Nancy's lies about the border may have been detrimental to their cause:  Population Replacement.

But it's not just Dimocrats, left-wing media, and assorted SJWs.  Plenty of RINOs don't want the wall either.

In other words, lots of folks in "The Swamp" fear a change in the status quo.

Turmoil Over Trump's Trip to Troops

Okay, I know I went overboard on this post's alliterative title.  But I couldn't think of another story that qualified as an End-of-Year-What-the-Fuck, than Our Grand Nagus' surprise visit to our troops overseas.

The basic timeline was this--

--The lamestream media criticized Trump on Christmas Eve and Christmas for not visiting the troops in .

--Then on the day after Christmas, when Our Gran Nagus showed up unexpectedly in Iraq, they lambasted him for visiting the troops.

Actually, the Ministry of Truth (a.k.a. left-wing media) went full Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Here are some examples of the symptoms--

--The cabal at CNN called Trump The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (I'm surprised they didn't say "The Holidays").

--There was the claim that Trump the Usurper violated ethics and campaign laws.

--And anytime Our Super-Model-in-Chief goes on such outings with her hubby, she comes under fire from misogynist, hypocritical commentators (personally, I think they're jealous she so stunning, classy and accomplished).

Conservative reaction to this latest outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome was swift--

--Tomi Lahren pointed out that the Left hates that our troops love Trump.

--White House spokesgal Sarah Huckabee condemned CNN for going after the troops.

--Jason Chaffetz, subbing-in for Sean Hannity, reminded viewers about the media silence when Obama signed personal items for the troops.

--Author and veteran Sean Parnell slammed the media for slamming Trump's visit.

--I like how Mark Steyn compared the FOBs (Forward Operating Bases) as dreary Crusader Forts.

--David Cullen could see this latest round of Trump Derangement Syndrome all the way from his home/studio in Ireland.

To finish this post in a flourish, one of my friends posted Curt Schilling's scathing retort to a triggered Ken Fitzgerald:

Happy New Year and best wishes to all of you in 2019!

Snapshot of 2018 Midterm Elections

Well, most of the results of yesterday's midterm elections are in.

As of now it looks like Dems are poised to take the House of Representatives while the GOP will retain the Senate.

Which of course means the Dems will spend their time, 24/7, conducting probes into our Grand Nagus.

Here in WA State, Dems continue to hold sway in the metropolitan areas, west of the Cascade Mountains.

What's particularly bleak is that a state-wide gun control initiative (I-1639) passed.

I'm not going to go out and "scream helplessly to the sky." But I'm certainly disappointed about the GOP losing the House of Representatives, and I-1639 being passed.

We'll probably see more "wreckage" of this election in the upcoming two years, and maybe beyond that...

Honoring 9/11

I find it hard to believe that it's been 17 years since the September 11th Attacks, and strangely unsettling that this year's anniversary is on a Tuesday, like that dreadful day.

Massacre in Manchester

(Image of some of the casualties from The Sun)

Yesterday was a warm sunny day here in western Washington State.  So I took advantage of the dry weather and a day off to get our house ready for summer--cleaning the grill and the lawn furniture.

Across the pond, Salman Abedi the Asshole had other summer plans--self-detonating at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, UK.

There's plenty of information on the who, what & when of the attack on most news sites. (Although, this morning I noticed CNN spent more time discussing Our Grand Nagus' supposed Russian Connection).  Even The Seattle Times ran the story.

Britain raised Terror Threat Level to "critical."

In addition to predictably raising the threat level, this latest terrorist attack is--yet again--following the same tiresome trajectory.

We're being told we should get use to scenes like this:

(Image from:  The Guardian chiding us not to "lash out")
Or that something other than Islamic jihad is to blame--like sexism.

Meanwhile, leftists are attempting to ward off Islamic evil with their Candlelight Magic--again.

I'm with Todd Starnes on this:  I'm sick of news anchors telling us not to rush to judgement on terror attacks.

Of course, Abedi the Asshole was yet another "known wolf."

This is just one factor in what The Diplomad calls The No Surprise List.

And finally, for this initial post anyway, Mark Steyn continues with the social condemnation of the weak-willed West in his latest article:  "Dangerous Woman" Meets Dangerous Man.

Unless our limp leaders, and the snowflake sheeple truly stand up against the jihadi threat, we'll continue to endure scenes like this...

(Image from:  The Sun's article on doctors trying to save the lives of victims--including children)

...along with the predictable post-attack procedure...

(Image from:  Starecat.com, which I originally saw on The Declination)

...whether we're "use to it" or not.

California National Guard Vets Forced to Payback Bonuses

For the past several days I was off-line spending time with family and friends.

Unfortunately, my cyberspace hiatus didn't stop the deluge of bad news.

As a retired service member, the headline that caught my eye was US Soldiers Told to Repay Thousands in Signing Bonuses from Height of War Effort.

The soldiers in question, are the nearly 10,000 California National Guardsmen who were given bonuses--nearly a decade ago.

Congress was, uncharacteristically, swift to react.  In the heat of this political firestorm, the Potomac Puzzle Palace (a.k.a the Pentagon), reversed its decision.

Sort of.

SecDef Ashton Carter said the repayment process will be suspended as soon as its practical.

And like Our Corrupt Queen's never ending trail of scandals, the VA Scandal of 2014 hasn't gone away either.

Just when you'd think treatment of our vets hit rock bottom, someone "started digging."

Last month, it was discovered that the same VA hospital at the epicenter of the two year old scandal has reached a new low, when it's morgue left vet bodies to decompose for weeks without burial.

Unlike my usual attempt at ending my posts with some pithy conclusion, at this moment words fail me...

Sailors' Surrender Scrutinized

It's nearly been two months since the Iranians grabbed 10 of our sailors.

An investigation has been underway, but now we're finally hearing a bit more, from anonymous sources, on what transpired.

Foreign Policy Magazine's latest article provides us with a peek inside the US Navy's Iran Fiasco.

O Attempting to Close Gitmo

A few days ago, Our Dear Leader his plan to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

America's adversaries, and leftists within our country consider "Gitmo" as "America's Gulag."

However, the reality is much different.

Congressional Republicans, attempting to block the transfer of the remaining detainees, cite a 30% recidivism rate.  AP News claims the rate is between 12.4% and 17.3%.  But these numbers are compared to recidivist terrorists being recaptured, or killed.

No matter how you slice & dice the statistics, one recidivist is one too many.  Take Ibrahim al Qosi, for instance.  He was a former guest at Hotel Gitmo.  Now he has leading roles in propaganda videos produced by Al-Qaeda Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

About the only thing Secretary of State, John Kerry, could lamely say on the matter of al Qosi was:  He shouldn't be doing that.

Whether you believe Gitmo to be a gulag or a gastehaus, or the recidivism rate is 12.4% or 30%, there's still one good reason for keeping Gitmo open:

O's Last SOTU

I didn't watch Our Dear Leader's parting State of the Union (SOTU) Address.  As I told a friend on Facebook, I didn't feel like being lectured on how racist I am and that lawful gun ownership is a "gateway drug" to being a criminal.  I forgot to add about being lectured on my supposed sexism, and homo-Islamo-xeno-phobia.

Based on the post-SOTU snippets, I'm glad I skipped the lecture, as once again, Obama downplayed the ISIS threat and defends his economic record, even after a Syrian suicide bomber self-detonated in Istanbul.

But ISIS is only part of the Islamofacist problem, and Obama isn't the only one downplaying it.  Mark Steyn has been warning folks for more than a decade about the growing Islamification of Europe--and eventually even America.  He would like to "hold the Mohammed Salad."

In addition to Euraby's roving rape gangs, there's our supposed BFF (best friend forever) Iran, now holding 10 American sailors.  Which Our Dear Leader decided not to mention this tidbit of breaking news.

Maybe he didn't want the mullahs "unfriending" him.

For the sake of fairness and posterity, here's O's final SOTU.

And here's what The Heritage Foundation, via The Daily Signal, said what Obama got wrong in the SOTU.

UPDATE:

Several hours after the SOTU, it was reported that Iran released the American sailors.

Enemies Inside and Outside the Ramparts

So far this first full week of 2016 has been a busy one.  While I've been off-duty, my family finally had our Christmas Dinner, followed by taking down the decorations--which we're still in the process of doing.

Meanwhile, the Enemies of Western Civilization have been busy during my off-line time.

First, a couple days ago news broke out of Germany of mass sexual assaults on New Year's Eve committed by "Arab or North African" men.  German police and media are being accused of conducting a cover-up, since it took days to clarify the ethnicity of the perpetrators, numbering as many as 1,000.  Leftists in-general seem to be reluctant to name our enemies openly, unless they're conservatives, which waters-down any response the victims can make.  Mark Steyn remarks that victims of Islamist sexual assault will merely have to lie back and think of Germany (and Sweden, and Norway)...

So far the only response has been to hold Rape is Wrong courses for Muslim "refugees."

As the Islamic rape gangs rove around Europe; in Asia, North Korea claimed to detonate an H-bomb.

Last week, there was a lot of "looking back at 2015."  Instead of looking back, "VDH" examines the rendezvous with reality in 2016.

Basically, things will get worse before they (maybe, just maybe) get better.

I'd say "keep your powder dry," but in the past few days there's been a flurry of news stories about Obama's impending gun control executive order(s).

As I write this post, it's still a couple hours prior to Obama's "Guns in America" townhall meeting on CNN.  Afterwards, I'll be spending the next day, or three, sifting through news and commentaries before I write about Obama's Imperial Decree with impact lawful gun owners.

Last Week's "Nothing-to-Do-With-Islam" News

First, the good news:  On Thursday, the House passed a veto-proof bill, which will attempt to curb the flow of Syrian refugees into the US.

And now for all the bad news...

Friday saw 19 killed by terrorists in Mali before police stormed the hotel, where they had seized 200 hostages.

Apparently, the terrorists didn't get the memo from John Kerry claiming Al-Qaeda has been neutralized.

However, our "rationalizing" Secretary of State isn't the only one "on message."

Even though it's been a whole week of nothing to do with Islam, Brussels remains on high alert, even after conducting 22 raids over the weekend.

Despite the murder and mayhem caused by the "non-Islamic" Islamic terrorists, Our Dear Leader maintains his safe space.

The Non-Containment of ISIS

Hours before the attack on Paris (13 November 2015), Our Dear Leader assured the folks on Good Morning America that the Islamic State has been contained.

While a lot of leftists believe Obama's words, not all of them are onboard.  One of them is Senator Dianne Feinstein, who's concerned ISIS is expanding, despite preparing their capital, Raqqa, against a possible assault.

Whether the Islamic State is advancing, hunkering-down or in full retreat, is nearly irrelevant because our (non) containment strategy is equally pathetic under any circumstance:  Adding a brand new hashtag (#RefugeesWelcome) to the pile of pathetic hashtags.

And with "...reality is on the march..." it's just one more argument in favor of an armed citizenry.

Wolves in the Umma Fold

We had a storm blow through WA State knocking out power to nearly 116,000 customers.  So I've been busy at work, with no time afterwards to write about national or international events.  My last post was simply a link to FOX News about the raids against a terrorist hideout.

While the storm here in WA State has died down, another type of storm has been brewing:  The issue over "Syrian refugees."

As of now, 30 state governors (29 of them Republicans) oppose Our Dear Leader's scheme of admitting Syrian refugees.

While I admire the governors taking a stand against O's over-reach, I'm afraid The Diplomad has a point:  All it takes is for one state to accept these "refugees," then they'll be free to roam wherever they want to.

But the leftists aren't sitting idle either.  They're looking to place political pressure on uncooperative GOP governors.

While leftists scheme to circumvent state opposition to the "refugee" problem, Michelle Malkin wonders: Where is America's force-protection from these "refujihadis?"

Where indeed?

The terrorist attack on Paris was gut-wrenching to watch unfold.

But with at least one terrorist being able to sneak into Europe as a "refugee," illustrates a bigger problem than the Islamic State alone:  Our broken immigration system.

Ann Coulter writes:  The insistent demand for an endless flow of Third World immigrants to the West goes well beyond cheap labor for the rich. It has become a mass psychosis.

Ann could be Donald Trump's press secretary.

The Unfolding Story of the Terrorist Attack on Paris of 13 Nov 2015

(Image from:  Voice of America)

The Islamic State didn't waste any time claiming responsibility for yesterday's attack against Paris "...in the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful..."

Yahoo News posted a What We Know Livestream.

I don't claim to be clairvoyant, but as the news of the attack unfolded yesterday, I was certain I knew the perpetrators would be jihadists.  This terrorist act was conducted in a manner that reminded me of the Mumbai Attacks of 2008.  For a while it appeared as if another Nord-Ost Siege was in the making.

French President Francois Hollande vowed a merciless response to the attack that has left 127 dead (at this point).

Let's hope so.

But speaking of "merciless responses," leftist media sites haven't let this crisis go to waste.

Chauncey DeVage of Salon added the proverbial apples & oranges to conclude the attack on Paris was the direct result of right-wing rhetoric, especially against Black Lives Matter.

Yeah, right.

And Natalie Nagayrede of The Guardian is more concerned about far-right groups fanning the flames of hatred than jihadis roaming the streets killing innocent people.

Us right-wingers aren't the enemies of civilization as Natalie imagines.

As leftists like Natalie and Chauncey continue making excuses for this, or any future jihadi attack, I'm afraid France's response won't be as "merciless" as I'd like it to be.

In the meantime, information about yesterday's attack is still unfolding.  News stations continue to cover this story with their "first string" newscasters.

No Jihad to See On the Shrinking Horizon

While I was down with a cold last week, I still managed to scan the headlines.  I've certainly had worse illnesses and injuries, so I could have wrote more timely posts.

But I noticed right away, each story that caught my eye, or the attention of my friends, followed the same tiresome trajectory, which sapped my motivation for writing more timely posts:

Someone goes on a shooting/stabbing spree in public shouting "Allahu Akbar!"
Chances are good in this post-9/11 world that the perpetrator is a guy named Mo.
Mo, as in Mohammed.
Then we're told by officials and the media that, while they're trying to ascertain the perpetrator's motive, they're 100% certain it had nothing to do with Islam.

And these types of "assurances" are being peddled all over the civilized world, such as Euro-leaders claiming terrorists, like this one, aren't trying to sneak into their homelands.

Mark Steyn wrote about the shrinking horizon.  That is a world of interconnected "green(ish) zones."

But why bother with distant shores when enemies are already inside the Ramparts of Civilization--and yet we're still being told there's no Islam to see here.

(Steyn, followed up yesterday with his Jihad On A Tray article).

It's obvious to us like-minded folks as to what's going on.

It's the bureaucrats, politicians, the media, and about 50% of the voting public that's clueless.
