Woke-Flavored Ice Cream

Now that we're in the middle summer one often thinks about having a cool and refreshing scoop or three of ice cream.

 However, to leftists, everything's political.

Sports, movies, comic books, TV shows--and now ice cream--are merely tools for woketards to bludgeon everyone else into "getting woke."

Actually, the owners of Ben & Jerry's have always been leftists.

But recently, the wokey pair announced they will no longer sell their ice cream in the "Occupied Palestinian Territory."

Of course, this virtue-signal/publicity stunt is the latest in a long list of failed boycotts against Israel.

I've never had any of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, so I can't ritualistically purge my freezer of any of their whacky flavors, nor can I solemnly swear I'll never buy their stuff again.

But I can at least continue to avoid buying into their wokeness and enjoy the rest of the summer--with another brand of ice cream.

BLM Millionairess

Earlier this week, BLM co-founder, Patrisse Khan-Cullors, cashed-in on Communism, and went on a home-buying spree.

Who knew Marxists knew the markets?

It's easy for a "right-winger," such as myself, to spot the hypocrisy of marxist-wannabees--and environmentalists, for that matter--because they can't live up to the hype of their ideology.

And yet--they still attract minions to their cause.

However, at least some folks within the movement are calling-out Cullors as a fraud.

Or maybe, Ms "Trained Marxist" skipped the class on abolishing private property in a commie society.

If you're wondering if the abolition of private property is some far-off goal, today's leftists really want to bring about a "Real Estate Reset," basically turning home owners into renters as soon as they can get away with it.  (See the first 17 minutes of Wilcow's video).

Keep in mind, though, the reality will be that Party leaders will keep their homes, while the rest of us will be downgraded to serfs, or kulaks, if we're lucky.

So I gotta hand it to Cash-In Cullors:  She accomplished leveling-up to Millionaire Status in about 2 years, when it took commie leaders of the past decades to do.  This makes her a thumbnail case-study for us capitalist-minded folks to study about Marxist hypocrisy and corruption.

Meanwhile, private property confiscation will have to take a back seat.

Riots mostly peaceful protests have ramped-up again in various cities across America after the most recent police-involved shooting of a black man under questionable circumstances.

Chick Fillet Turns Chicken Against SJWs

Amid all the hoopla of last week's "Schiff Show," or the Dimtards' attempt at overthrowing Trump the Usurper via "impeachment," the beleaguered fast-food franchise, Chick-Fil-A came under fire.

Again.

This time the Ministry of Truth also smeared the Salvation Army as "anti-LGBT."

And unlike previous assaults by the Woketards of the Twitterverse, Chick-Fil-A caved and will no longer be donating to the Salvation Army, which peeved conservatives.

Both companies issued statements.  While Chick-Fil-A made excuses, the Salvation Army expressed its disappointment.

Contrary to the fake-news image of being a Bastion of Bigotry, Chick-Fil-A has quite a track record of donating to leftist organizations.

But as both Liz Wheeler and Lauren Chen pointed out:

Don't give in to the rage mob.

Ever.

Because you can only appease them when they destroy you.

I haven't seen any conservatives calling for a boycott, nor am I going to do so, but Chick-Fil-A turning chicken against Social Justice Whiners (SJWs) is disheartening.

Business Advice from Boromir

(Image crated using Make A Meme

The other day I thought I'd contribute to the plethora of Borormir memes and concoct one alluding to the Gillette commercial I recently wrote about.

I only posted it on Facebook to my own page and a couple of military sites.

The military guys all liked it to some degree, or at least tolerated it.

The reactions from folks seeing it on my personal page were a bit varied.  Most people liked it, but I managed to trigger a few folks.

One of them was a cousin of mine.  He was actually nice about it and debated with me about the tone of the Gillette commercial.

An acquaintance made a comment relating the Gillette commercial to Nike's Colin Kapernich one, along with a couple of likes or sad-faces in response to the debate I was having with my cousin.

Then there was a fellow table-top gamer who posted this:  "...If this commercial insulted you then you are one of the people it is directed at..."

I didn't think twice about responding and instead unfriended him, knowing full-well that I'll frequently run into him during local gaming events.

This is essentially the same attitude the Gillette commercial imposes on men:  If you are not going to be part of the "solution," (as Gillette and their SJW minions see it), then you are part of the problem.

I just want a peaceful, clean shave each morning.

But this is also typical of the Regressives:  People must be bombarded by political-social messages 24/7/365--with overtime on the "patriarchal," "sexist," and "racist" holidays.

I'll leave you with Sargon of Akkad's The Best Men Can Be: An Autopsy.

Gillette Shaves Off Men's Masculinity

(Image used by Fan Advocacy Network's YouTube video)

There's a lot of important news floating around the airwaves and cyberspace, such as--

--The US Government remains partially shut down, over the "manufactured border crisis."

--Four American soldiers were killed by a suicide bomber in Syria, etc.

So why go on about this week's shitty ad by Gillette?

It matters because it's the latest salvo in the regressive's War on Men, or at least hating men.

That men are collectively guilty of bullying and sexism.  Even the American Psychological Association (APA) hopped on board the SJW crazy-train claiming traditional masculinity is harmful.

This matters in the same way it matters that law abiding gun owners are accused of being collectively guilty for mass shootings.

Only worse, because not every man--even in America--owns a firearm.

And it's not just any-old men that the commercial slams.

According to Paul Joseph Watson's video, the men exhibiting bad behavior are mostly white, while the good guys are mostly minority men.

Even if the commercial were indeed a mere harmless virtue signal by Gillette to display it's Get Woke [Go Broke] bona-fides, we don't don't need Life lessons from a razor company.

(Image from Keri Smith's article Gillette Goes for Woke)
At least one marketing professor said a company makes a grave mistake by alienating a portion of its customers.

The actual commercial has earned over 708K dislikes vs. 331K likes at the time of this writing.  But among the YouTube videos I've watched on this topic, there are claims of Gillette deleting comments and finagling the like/dislike facts.

And it's not just us men who don't like the commercial (or the social-political implications of it).

Women dislike it too--

--Liz Wheeler said men are not the problem.

--Daisy Cousens from Down Under said this "Toxic Masculinity" ad is WRONG.  (And just 40 seconds into her show asks "why the Hell would you use the Young Turks?").

--Lauren Chen (a.k.a. The Roaming Millennial) slams the "Men Do Better!" mantra.

--Michelle Malkin wrote about Proctor & Gamble's toxic sanctimony. Nor was this the first time, Proctor & Gamble produced an SJW-tainted commercial.

The commercial though does have it's supporters.

Gillette's Facebook Page showed a total of 134K responses.
If you click on the emoticons, you get this expanded breakdown:  64K likes followed by 60K dislikes, 7.2K angry, 1.2 hilarious, 536 ambiguous wows, and 127 sad.

And if your the solitary lefty on The Five--you throw in racism for good measure.

No matter what Gillette's rationale was for concocting this ad, as I posted on their Facebook promotion:

Gillette has cut itself open to being meme-fodder.

Seattle’s Politburo Double-Downs on Head Tax

Two days ago, the Seattle Politburo Voted 9-0 for a scaled-down version of a head tax ($275 per head, as opposed to the original $500).

Business owners asked:  How is that a compromise?

Good question.

And it’s not just the Fat Cat/One Percenters who are upset by this decision:  A KIRO 7 poll shows a clear majority are opposed to this venture.

And still the Politburo is shocked & dismayed over all this.

The good news is, that six of the nine city council members are up for re-election.

In the meantime, national news outlets have picked up the story, like Matt Vespa’s Facepalm.

Head Tax Comes to a Head

The Peoples Democratic Republic of Seattle has a lot in common with metropolitan areas across the country--

--Stricter gun control laws
--Higher crime rates
--Higher taxes
--A growing homeless population, and
--Ruled by Democrats for about 50 years

Earlier this week the Seattle Politburo concocted a cunning plan to slap a head tax on large companies for the purpose of raising slush fund to alleviate the homelessness crisis.

The Seattle Politburo thought the bourgeois business owners and their proletariat minions would be cool with this.

They were shocked to discover how wrong they were:

Fury and frustration erupt over proposed head tax.

High Points of 2017

Well, 2017 certainly had it's fair share of highs, and tragic lows.

Rather than dwelling on all the hardships and heartaches, Erika Haas points out the seven biggest conservative wins of 2017.

I'm sure how I feel about the tax break.  On the one-hand, with our $20 million+ deficit, I wonder if cutting the government's tax base is such a good idea.  But on the other-hand, the government wastes so much money it doesn't deserve additional funds to squander on stupid stuff.

Plus it's fun watching triggered leftists--the same ones who ramrodded Obamacare down everyone's throats--rant about the impending ecopocalypse.

Greg Gutfeld and his crew feel that overall, 2017 was a good year.

I hope last year was a good one for all of you reading this post.

Does that mean things will be smooth-sailing in 2018?

Not by a long shot.

But at least I feel more confident about how our country faces the issues that lay ahead.

Republicans Rolled-Back From Obamacare

This past Friday, the GOP scrapped their attempt to fix Obamacare.

Over the weekend, the Grand Nagus unleashed a Tweet-strom promising to "...totally fix healthcare."

Accusations flew all around.

Trump blamed the Democrats and predicts Obamacare will explode.

On FOX News, Stuart Varney called the GOP a disgrace (not to worry, he's disgusted with the Democrats), while Derek Hunter called them cowards of their own convictions.

(Note:  Varney's gone head-to-head against other conservatives over repealing Obamacare--even Mark Steyn).

But getting back to disgusting Democrats:  Chuck Schumer said he'd work with Republicans--once they take repeal off the table.

Hal Scherz offered this post game analysis of the GOP Healthcare Fumble, and Kurt Schlichter reminded us this was just one lost battle in a protracted war-- with lots of American Civil War analogies (while heaping scorn upon Ryan).

The Diplomad put it another way:  Making Democrats happy is bad for America.

Yeah.

Obamacare was bad for America to begin with.  It should never have been passed to begin with.  However, this is now wishful thinking.

Obamacare is like a giant Facehugger on the America.  The problem is:  How to truly kill it without killing the patient.

Unlike the professional pundits, I'm not going to pretend I have the answer to fixing/replacing/abolishing Obamacare.  I've been lucky so far, and have "kept my doctor" throughout the eight year Era of Hope and Change.

I certainly want to see Obamacare abolished, but not with the same level as upheaval as its implementation caused.  I'll be happy with not having to justify my healthcare coverage to the IRS, and threatened with ever-growing fines.  Just a small victory in this protracted Healthcare War.

GNOTUS?

(Image found on:  The Democratic Underground)
I finally finished reading my copy of TIME's Special Edition: Star Trek, Inside the Most Influential Science-Fiction Series Ever, which I purchased after attending a Star Trek exhibit in Seattle last year.

On page 59, this quote in big, bold blue letters caught my eye:

If Donald Trump were a Star Trek alien, he would be a Ferengi.

Ever since Trump tossed his hat in the ring, I've heard all sorts of criticisms about him--from the valid to the certifiably crazy.

I find this one funny, because for someone who wrote The Art of the Deal, along with heading a financial empire, the comment seems to apply rather nicely.

But I think the joke is on Time, as well as the artists of the pictures I used in this post.  I suspect none of them thought Trump would actually win.

But since he has, maybe it's time to change the presidential acronym from POTUS (President of the U.S.) to GNOTUS (Grand Nagus of the U.S.).

(Image found on:  Redman Cheyenne)
And since leftists have been invoking Godwin's Law on a daily basis since the election results were finalized, I'll be sure to refer to Trump as Grand Nagus Donolf Trumpler.

Breitbart's Kerfluffle with Kellogg's

(Image from:  The People's Cube)

Five days ago, Kellogg's announced it was pulling their ads from Breitbart, because the conservative website was incompatible with the company's values.

After some initial swipes at a couple of Castro fans, Mark Steyn points out why Kellogg's decisions isn't such a gr-r-r-r-reat idea in the long run.

A day later, our Canadian-born commentator pointed out that Kellogg's original values weren't so gr-r-r-r-reat either.

Conservative consumers are fighting back:  Kellogg's Facebook pages erupted with "#DumpKellogg's" messages.

Personally, I don't eat cereal on a regular basis, and we still have several boxes of Kellogg's products in our pantry.  I'm not going to throw out what we already have, and won't openly call upon you readers to boycott the company.

But the next time I do buy cereal, I'll certainly look for similar products concocted by companies who don't pander to Social Justice Whiners (SJWs).

(More) Impending Obamacare Rate Hikes

It was predicted right from the get-go that the "Affordable Care Act" would not be affordable.

On Monday, it was announced that premiums will raise 25% next year, on top of the $5K increase already seen.

Of course, Our Dear Leader claims he has nothing to do with this.

Well Obama may think he has nothing to do with the havoc he's wrought on our nation's healthcare system, but even O's hometown hospitals won't participate in Obamacare, while several states state they can't afford it.

Our Corrupt Queen claims she'll fix Obamacare (or something).  This should be seen as one of her lies, because when her hubby Slick Willy was in office, she tried selling America the Hillarycare.  Which just several years ago, Obama claimed that Hillarycare 2.0 will decrease premiums 3000%.

Maybe Our Teleprompter in Chief misspoke and meant "increase premiums 3000%."

Brexit the Beginning?

Well, on Friday the Pound plunged in the wake of the Brexit Referendum.

Gloom & Doom is the prevailing outlook among leftists on both sides of the Atlantic.

From their point of view, they have a reason to be concerned as other member nations may follow suit, which in turn, could be the beginning of the end of the European Union.

True, Britain and any other nation may be worse off for leaving the EU.  But the Continent in it's downward spiral, us like-minded folks believe Britain will be definitely worse off if it stays on board (as depicted in the led image).

Whether or not "HMS Britannia" sinks or floats, the majority of Her Majesty's Subjects decided to take matters into their own hands, rather than be ruled by the un-elected (and unaccountable) Brussels Bureaucrats.

As The Diplomad proclaimed:   Liberty won!

Hillary Bern'd in NH

As the New Hampshire polls were closing Tuesday night (9 Feb 16), pundits were confident that Trump would win the Pachyderm Parade Primary, and Sanders would win the Donkey Drove Primary.

By Wednesday morning, it was obvious that Corrupt Queen Hillary didn't just lose to Bolshevik Bernie--she got clobbered.  Team Hillary knew early-on they were losing and published some pre-emptive spin.

In fact, Hillary lost nearly every demographic to Bernie.

A big reason Hillary lost in NH--only 5% of Granite Staters thought Hillary was trustworthy.

Townhall has the New Hampshire Primary's Final Results for both parties.

I'm happy Hillary lost.  She deserves to be in jail for her Secret Server Shenanigans--just to name one of her scandals--not running for president, or any other public office for that matter.

However, when it comes to choosing who would be worse for the country...

...I ask myself:  What difference does it make?

Even though Hillary got shellacked in NH, she's still part of the Donkey Drove Race.

Meanwhile, the Pachyderm Parade got thinned out.  Both Carly Fiorina and Chris Christie suspended their campaigns.

Hillary--a Shill for Wall Street?

While the Pachyderm Parade and Donkey Drove conducted their debates, news broke last week that prior to launching her bid for the White House Throne Room, she gave about 100 speeches.

The content of these speeches remain a mystery.

And of course, Hillary will "look in to" releasing the transcripts of her Wall Street Speeches.

Translation:  Stonewall any and all inquiries, along with misdirecting the low-informed to the "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy."

When she's not demanding Danegeld from the Baronies of Wall Street, Our Corrupt Queen waxes poetic about us peasants doing service as a form of rent we pay to live in America.

Translation:  Serfdom.

True, Democrats in-general, and Hillary specifically, don't hold a monopoly on feeling like entitled royalty.  I merely want to keep this post short.  Besides, there's plenty of time between now and November to discuss the other usurpers and pretenders to the throne.

The Growing "Deficit Cancer"

Lost amid the all the coin tossing, and accusations of voter fraud/stolen elections in Iowa; the US government reached a grim milestone earlier this week:  The National Debt blew past $19 Trillion.

It seems the candidates among the Donkey Drove and Pachyderm Parade are too busy slinging charges of ideological impurity to have noticed this.

I'm not an economist.  The sum total of my economic education consists of Micro-Economics, Macro-Economics in undergraduate school, and Political-Economic Theory in grad school.

So I've always been mystified by the causes of the national debt, and even more mystified by the unwillingness of our political leaders--from both parties--to take steps to begin reducing the National Debt.

I couldn't even begin to guess when our deficit issue will reach critical mass.  (Notice I didn't say "if").

But I fear it will occur in our lifetime.

By then it will probably be irrelevant whether the sitting president has a "(D)" or an "(R)" at the end of their name.

Hill's Baggage Just Got Heavier

If Hillary's baggage wasn't heavy enough; uranium, one of the heavies elements, was added a few days ago in the form of a deal between the Clinton Foundation and Russian investors to acquire uranium mines in Canada.

Of course, the Clinton Foundation mouthpiece is trying to brush this aside:  Yes, we made some mistakes.

Simple accounting errors.  Could happen to anyone, right?

Right.  It's just that such errors always seem to occur when the Clintons are involved.

Mark Steyn isn't buying it and rolls-in with his fighting for everyday Americans and everyday uranium-dealing Kazakhs.

A Tangled Web the Governement is Weaving

While ISIS and Obama's lackluster response has been seizing the headlines, another story may soon be on the front pages tomorrow:  The implementation of "Obamacare for the Internet."

This of course, depends on how the five commissioners of the FCC will vote, but the Vegas odds are that the three Democrats will outvote the two Republicans and impose a 332-page set of regulations upon web users.

In other words:  Get ready for a government takeover of the internet.

I attached this cartoon in an e-mail response to friends, with my own caption:  "Ahead dial-up speed.  Engage!"

To be honest, my tech savviness equals the square root of jack.  So I don't know how this will affect us small-scale users.

But if the IRS "phony scandal" has taught me anything, it's to be wary of "unbiased government oversight."

Especially, since this particular blog of mine isn't what you'd call "leftist-friendly."

BK's Buy-Out Whopper

I usually don't follow business news, because other than Micro & Macro Economics in undergraduate school, I have very little knowledge of big business & high finance.

But when I'm travelling, it's almost guaranteed that at some point during my trip, I'll stop at a  Burger King for an on-the-go meal.

So it came as somewhat of a surprise that the Home of the Whopper is moving to the Great White North.

This of course, isn't the only company to leave the Good Ol' USA.  And up until now, the media hasn't been too flame-broiled about such corporate chicanery.

Most of the news stories rightly condemn the King and his Court for being a royal family of tax evaders.

But some of them miss the point in that the US has one of the highest, if not the highest, corporate tax rate in the world.

One senator is even calling for a BK boycott, along with closing the tax inversion loophole.

Between Big Business & Big Government both trying to have it their way, it's the American citizens & consumers who will be the ones eating crap sandwiches.
