Amtrak Train Derailment Near DuPont, WA

I was suppose to be off duty Monday (18 Dec 17), but a coworker called-in sick.

Just before 8 AM, I was about to grab my breakfast when we got the first phone call reporting the derailment of what turned out to be Amtrak #501.

We activated our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) within several minutes.  Shortly afterwards, our local news agencies were running continuous coverage, and about 20 minutes later, the incident made national news.

Initially, the Seattle Times reported several dead after Amtrak train, traveling over 80 mph derailed from a bridge on to I-5

Due to the constricted terrain around the "I-5 Corridor" traffic detours were circuitous routes that had commuters travelling miles out of their way and caused backups on country roads and city streets.  I was lucky in that it only took me 20 extra minutes to get home that night.

Yesterday, it was determined that the Amtrak train was travelling over 50 mph over the limit when it derailed at the curve over I-5

I-5 Southbound will remain closed as NTSB continues its investigation.

G-Men Colluding with Clinton

While I was either at work, or engaged in pre-Christmas activities (decorating the house, shopping for presents), news broke that there was in fact meddling in the 2016 election.

But said meddling doesn't jive with the libtard media's RussiaRussiaRussia narrative.

Instead, there's mounting evidence of 2016 election meddling coming from swamp-dwellers within the FBI.

Sometimes it takes an outsider to explain things more clearly.  Canadian Mark Steyn gives us a Top 10 of the co-dependents of the "independent" counsel.

Last night, Sean Hannity and his guest discussed the G-Mens' collusion with Clinton.
But the problem goes beyond election finagling.

Paul Joseph Watson's latest video highlights the Left's attempts, on both sides of the Atlantic, to derail the will of the people.

When all this was unfolding, I mentioned to Comrade Karla that we've reached banana republic levels of corruption.

I thought our government was better than this.

I guess I was wrong.

Prager U Video: Just Say "Merry Christmas"

Well we're now in the final month of The Triggering Season, which started with Indigenous Peoples Day (formerly Columbus Day), followed by Costume Outrage Day (formerly Halloween), and have just passed the Day of Mourning (formerly Thanksgiving).

The Holidays (formerly Christmas and New Year) are rapidly approaching.

Dennis Prager masterfully deconstructed the leftists' fetish of using the phrase "Happy Holidays" in this year-old video.

Personally, I use the term "Happy Holidays" when greeting people I don't know, or will probably never see until after New Year's Day.  So I do use it as an inclusive term, but not in the manner leftists want me to.

Plus I'm more likely to use the expression the closer we get to Christmas Day.  It sounds ridiculous to cling to the expression "Happy Holidays" when you're out and about on Christmas Eve.

And it irks me that leftists are Hell-bent on eradicating the word "Christmas" from the calendar and from every social function that occurs within the month of December.

Best wishes to all of you this Christmas Season.

The Great Whitedoors

Now that the Holiday Season is upon us, many people will "hit the slopes," or do whatever winter-ish activity their locale, or vacation destination has to offer.

However, to at least one college snowflake doing so is exerting one's White Supremacy.

WTF!?  Seriously?

Just when you think there's nothing left for libtards to be triggered over, they come up with some other fun and/or normal activity that should be cast down the Memory Hole.

Kinda like our jihadist enemies.

It's no wonder why they get along so well.

Louder With Crowder concludes:  There's no pleasing these dinguses.

Diogene's Middle Finger wonders if waking up stupid every day is painful.

Apparently so, for one to be constantly triggered.

Pick Your Turkey for Thanksgiving 2017

Well, a lot has gone on news-wise, fake or otherwise, since my last post.  Too much for me to try to catch up on, and it's stuff(ing) that you probably already know about.

So I thought I'd start the 2017 Holiday Season on a humor-ish note with Bob Gorrell's do-it-yourself cartoon.  You can pick your own "turkey" among the flock of distractions.

The sad irony is:  There's no right or wrong answer.  Kinda like K-12's Common Core (talk about a Turkey of Thanksgiving Past).

Despite the chaos and uncertainty going on inside and outside the Ramparts of Civilization, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

The Media's Big Lies of Omission and Circulation Shrinkage

Before the creation of CNN, there were only three major networks:  ABC, CBS and NBC.

All of who, along with MSNBC, love airing the dirty laundry...

...of Republican politicians.

A couple weeks ago the Clintonian corruption made the news--again.

However, if you only get your news from television's original triumvirate, you'd never know that Hillary is now in the epicenter of the Russian Collusion Scandal.

I use to think MSNBC was the shrillest of the news networks.  But it looks like cable news trendsetting CNN hit rock-bottom--and has started to dig.

None of the latest "bombshells" are too surprising.  They've merely confirmed what us like-minded folks suspected all along:  That the "unbiased" media, isn't as unbiased as they claim to be.

(Image by Bob Gorrell--I've used this one before.  It's too good to pass up!)

But it's not just television that's turning off a lot of viewers.

Greg Gutfeld explains why magazines suck.

I never paid any attention to the pop culture magazines mentioned in The Five's video.

I use to subscribe to Military History magazine, and would read each issue cover-to-cover.  Then several years ago the articles took a distinct leftward turn.  Even after getting barraged by angry Letters to the Editor, the editorial politburo continued it's long march.  I let my subscription lapse and haven't read a single issue since.

Now I see a similar turn with Writer's Digest, a magazine supposedly about writing and getting published.  In every issue, at least one author has to toss-in some leftist political-social comment.  I'm letting my subscription to this magazine lapse too.

At least I'll be uncluttering my mailbox and maybe even reduce my carbon footprint.

While I get a sense of shadenfreude over the shrinking subscriptions and viewerships of these lefty businesses, I won't get excited over any open secret bombshells about Bill & Hill...

(Another image by Bob Gorrell)

...until they're indicted, and behind bars--without bail.

Hannity Video: Nothing was going to stop Clinton's blind ambition

Well it seems like there was an attempt to steal the 2016 Presidential Election--by Our Would-Be Corrupt Queen Hillary.

I'm wish I could say I was excited about this revelation.  Hillary should have been arrested and convicted before the election.  So I'm not holding my breath on confirmation of her hostile take-over of the DNC.

The one funny thing about this not-so surprising the latest tidbit of the on-going Hillarygate is that despite all her corrupt finagling and funneling of dirty funding--she still lost the election.

Paul Joseph Watson Video: The Truth About the NYC Terror Attack

Two days ago while I was on duty, we watched the story of the terrorist attack in NYC that left 8 people dead.

Since I had my television at work tuned to FOX News, I didn't hear any of the "nothing to do with Islam" newspeak, Paul Joseph Watson talks about in his video.

Especially since this piece of shit feels good about what he did and wants an ISIS flag in displayed in his hospital room.

I also agree with Mark Steyn on this--yet another terrorist attack:  Leftists, and some on the Right, are on the wrong path.

Paul Joseph Watson Video: SCREAM HELPLESSLY AT THE SKY

In America everyone can hear snowflakes can scream.

Unfortunately, the scream helplessly at the sky event a week from today, won't be held in deep space so the rest of us can't hear their sore-losing wailing tantrums.

But at least as Paul Joseph Watson mentioned in his video, there'll be plenty of post-scream footage which may help ensure Our Grand Nagus wins a second term.

Video: Gutfeld--Redbook's moronic attack on Halloween costumes

Well the Triggering Season is upon us.  Halloween is tomorrow and chances are snowflakes may be triggered over costumes.

I thought I posted about this last month when an article popped up reminding parents of white kids not to dress them up as Disney's Moana.  But I can't find it in my blog history.

Anyway, "lost episodes" aside, as Greg's monologue is spot-on about this concept is actually encouraging racial segregation.

Social Justice Whiners will whine about anything and everything and attempts at debating them will de-evolve into a circular argument.

Ben Shapiro, who's no fan of adults dressing-up, nails it in this video, calling this issue being a masterpiece of stupidity.

Roaming Millennial Video: Dear College Snowflakes, No One Takes You Seriously | Lafayette Response

I've been watching Roaming Millennial 's pleasant videos for about a year now.

Her most recent vlog post was a response to her experience at triggering all the snowflakes for her support for Our Grand Nagus at Lafayette College (full video).

RM is braver than I am.  I certainly wouldn't want to face such a mob.

This incident is just one facet of the Left's long post-election tantrum.

Although I have to disagree with her somewhat.  I do take snowflakes and social justice whiners seriously.  Seriously enough to never want to see their hands on the levers of power.

As an aside:  If you watch any RM video, you might be branded as a White Supremacist.

Sweeping Sh*t is Insensitive

Anyone who isn't a social justice whiner (SJW) knows that good hygiene goes a long way at reducing or eliminating the transmission of diseases.

Unfortunately, the People's Democratic Republic of Seattle's Politburo is full of SJWs.  Or enough of them to veto common-sense proposals.

A few months ago, a Seattle Councilman claimed that hosing down poop-covered sidewalks might be racially insensitive.

My visits to Seattle are becoming less frequent, thanks mostly to ever growing insanity displayed by Seattlites.

The Real RussiaRussiaRussia Scandal

Ever since the 2016 Election, Democrats and their media mouthpieces have been chasing their collective tails over the Russia Investigation.

Early last week, The Hill dropped this bombshell about a Russian bribery plot involving a presidential wannabe.

As it turned out though, the corrupt candidate who was exposed wasn't the one leftists were hoping for.

Tucker Carlson highlighted the Clinton cash trail in the real Russian collusion scandal--bribery involving the Hillary Clinton-approved sale of Uranium One.

A day later, Sean Hannity called-out the Democrats and media have lied about Russia this past year.

As Sean said, the media's been Hell-bent on fingering Our Grand Nagus, while editing out the Clintons' complicity, along with focusing on other news.

Before Sean's show aired, it was announced that a Senate judiciary committee will investigate Clinton-Russia corruption.

Mark Steyn asked at the end of his Uranium & Diarrhea Inc article:  Any chance justice will come a-callin' for the Clintons?

I'd like to think so, but the Clintons have proved to be a slippery, well-connected, and well protected family.

Even if this is fake news as Slate and Snopes say it is, I always thought selling 20% of our uranium reserves to Russia was one of many bad deals made by Barry O's reign of HopeandChange.

SJWs Sullying Sports (and Every Other Form of Entertainment)

The NFL is getting sacked, in good part due to their players taking a knee during the National Anthem.

A recent NYT article pointed out that the NFL is one of the most divisive brands in America.

I'm not surprised.

What's also not a surprise is NFL is happy to insult America--until it impacts their bank accounts.

Here's some advice:  The clueless NFL, Hollywood celebs and rock stars should shut the Hell up about politics.

Hollyweird Hypocrisy Over Weinstein Sex Scandal

I try to ignore celebrity news as much as possible, especially when most of them use their fame for social justice whining (SJW).

While Harvey Weinstein isn't a celebrity per se, he was the producer providing the financial backing that launched, or at least perpetuated movie stars' celebrity status.

But nearly two weeks ago, allegations of sexual harassment--spanning decades--finally exploded on the scene.

Weintstein's serial sexual assaults seemed to have been an open secret among Hollyweirdos, and their media allies, like NBC which tried to kill the story.  It was also in Harvey's contract that as long as he shelled-out increasing amounts of hush-money, he wouldn't be fired.

Until the story got too big to ignore.

Of course, the Corrupt Queen couldn't let this scandal go to waste...

...by calling Our Grand Nagus a "sexual assaulter," but considered Slick Willy's sexcapades was "old news."

Another bit of old news is the double standard:  GOP candidate's gaffe of "binders full of women" is bad, but sexual assaults by Democrats and their donors get swept under the casting couch.

Meanwhile, late night talk show hosts, like Crybaby Kimmel, who've scolded us on voting for Trump, clinging to our guns and wanting to see Obamacare repealed, suddenly realize they're not America's moral guardians after all.

They weren't our moral guardians to begin with and most people are tuning them out, along with sports, but that's a topic for another post.

Video: Memorials Vandalized by Columbus Day Protesters

Well, us like-minded folks knew leftists wouldn't be satisfied with defacing or destroying Confederate monuments.

Yesterday's Columbus Day activities by social justice whining (SJW) protesters, unfortunately proved us right.

And this is just the beginning of the "Triggering Season."

Halloween is just three weeks away, but SJWs were triggered over costumes before they went about defacing Columbus monuments.

They weren't too crazy about the sexy Fake News dress

Which was tame in comparison to one writer who SJW-splained  to Caucasian parents why your white kid shouldn't dress up as Moana for Halloween.

Yeah, "Foxtrot Yankee" lady.

Little girls should be allowed to dress up as any Disney Princess they want to.

We still have Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, which will give SJWs plenty of time to concoct more grievances against anyone trying to enjoy the holidays.

Video: Mark Steyn--Vegas Shooter's Social Media Profile 'Weirdly Blank'

Well it's been nearly a week since POS (Piece of Shit) Stephen Paddock opened fire on concert goers, killing 58 innocent people.

And no one's figured out what POS Paddock's motive(s) were, only that he was scouting out other locations.

The mystery surrounding Paddock was the manure which fertilized all sorts of conspiracy theories that have sprung up in the aftermath of the attack.

Paul Joseph Watson's video examined some of the strange things about the Las Vegas Massacre and debunked some of the myths.

While the investigation continues, politicians, along with the media and activist groups, need to STFU (Shut the Fuck Up) in their attempts to politicize the massacre.

Instead they should join us in mourning with the friends and families who lost loved ones, along with honoring the heroes who helped the victims.

Monday's Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

I was on duty the other night, so my partner and I watched the news unfold of the horrific shooting in Las Vegas.

At this time, Las Vegas PD, federal agencies are racing to uncover the gunman's motive.

Of course, leftists couldn't let a good tragedy go to waste.

Chief among them was Hillary Clinton, who tweeted a call-to-arms about standing up to the silencer-loving NRA.

And a CBS legal exec found herself out of a job when she tweeted the Vegas victims didn't deserve any sympathy because country music fans are often Republican.

Of course, there's more of such trollish vile on-line, as illustrated in Paul Joseph Watson's latest video.

David French also points out there's some strange facets to this incident.

But until we get all the answers, it's time to pray for the victims and their families, and honor the everyday heroes.

Paul Joseph Watson Video: "Take a Knee" is Total Bullshit

We should be focusing our attention on the crisis in Puerto Rico which was devastated by Hurricane Maria.  Which by the way, Our Grand Nagus is pushing back against accusations of slow relief response.

Not to mention the on-going issues beyond our territories.

Last week instead, leftists were triggered by Trump's tell that son of a bitch he's fired comment directed at NFL players who won't stand during the National Anthem.

In addition to Paul Joseph Watson video, featured above, Gregg Gutfeld reminded us it it wasn't Trump who politicized the game.

During my active duty days, we were told we could participate in marches and demonstrations--as long as we weren't in uniform.

NFL players wear uniforms, and the ones who "take a knee" during the National Anthem are not only disrespecting our flag, but their fans as well.

People go to sporting events to enjoy their leisure time--not to be subjected to someone's political-social pet peeves.

This also goes for the coaches and owners who support this bullshit.

You want to take a knee during the National Anthem?

Do so outside the stadium--and be sure to take off your uniform when you do.  Or better yet, as Brittany Hughes suggested on her video--take a hike.

The Hill-arious Blame-Game Tour

Hillary Clinton'sBook Tour will be coming to Seattle's Paramount Theater, December 11th.

"...and there was much rejoicing."

Just in time to get that last-minute Festivus gift.

Hillary's book and interviews are certainly in the Festivus spirit, especially with the Airing of Grievances...
There's a lot of news and issues brewing in the waning days of Summer 2017, that I could be posing about.  Unfortunately, Corrupt Queen Hillary Clinton can't let go of the past, nor accept the fact she lost to Our Grand Nagus.

It's as if, as Mark Steyn said: Hillary is acting like O.J. Simpson and "looking for the real killers."

RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel observed:  Every Clinton interview reinforced why she lost.

Judge Jeanine bangs her gavel down on Hillary's excuses.

I like Jesse Waters' opening comment:  She's working harder to sell the book than she did to win the election.

And Liz Wheeler rolled-in with a run-down on "what happened."

Fortunately, I don't have to read What Happened, because:

a. I already know what happened, and so do the folks I linked to in this post, and
b. Kate Reads Books on Twitter already did and has this "Unholy Shit!" reaction to women forcing their daughters seek Hillary's forgiveness for not voting.

One would think by now, a normal person would ask:

The silver lining in all this dreary & deluded rehash of the 2016 Presidential Campaign is that it's fodder for satire.

The Onion peeled off some layers like:

We All Made Mistakes, But You Made Most of Them, along with the follow-on What Also Happened--casting blame on her failed book tour.

Honoring 9-11-01 and Our On-Going War Against Islamists

Today's a sad day, not only in remembering the vicious attack that occurred 16 years ago, but also we're no closer to what was once called "victory" than we were 16 years ago.

Sure Osama bin Laden, and Saddam Hussein are dead thanks to our military might.  But we still have Islamist enemies outside--and inside--the Ramparts of Civilization we've been contending with since 2001.

The Diplomad summed up his feelings in his September 11 post.

And it's not just the Islamists that continually cause us grief, but in some (most?) cases our own political ruling class.

Mark Steyn rehashed his Dishonored Dead article for another tragic anniversary--the attack on our consulate in Benghazi.

Racist Hurricane Racing Towards Miami

As the Sunshine State is bracing itself against Hurricane Irma, at least one conspiracy theorist and social justice whiner is working overtime to put their own spin on the impending storm.

Blogger Diogenes' Middle Finger passed along this gem on Facebook:

Hurricanes be racist y'all.

Comrade Karla wondered if this were a joke.  I told him I'm hoping the preponderance of the 7.2K reactions were "Wow!" (as in WTF?!) and "LOL!" (as in YGTBSM).

If this isn't a joke, then such astounding ignorance makes me want to scream.

Waking Up to Ashfall

For nearly 26 years, where ever I lived; I'd drive to the gym 3-6 days a week in the pre-dawn darkness in just about every weather condition imaginable (and sort-of safe to travel in).

You know, the whole Neither snow nor rain... spiel about nothing keeping me from my workouts.

Yesterday though, was the first time I drove through ash fall from one of the many wildfires burning up our Evergreen State.

While my wife was at work, where the ash fall and smoky haze were worse; she said it reminded her of the Mount St. Helens eruption.

The Seattle Times put a more mundane spin on our predicament:  Ash falls like snow as wildfire rage in the Pacific Northwest.

So while large chunks of real estate in Texas and Louisiana are still underwater due to Hurricane Harvey; Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon are tinder-dry and burning to a crisp.

KHQ-6 has a full list of wildfires burning in Washington, Idaho and Montana.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and with Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida I'm not all that keen about praying for rain in a "be careful what you wish for" sort of way.

While Washington State isn't known for it's sunshiny beaches, we have gotten severe "nor'westers" in the past.

And:  Winter is coming.

Hurricane Harvey's Heroes (and Media Whiners)

I think this Labor Day is a perfect time for us to honor the labors of those involved with the rescue and recovery efforts in the wake of  Hurricane Harvey.

By now, we've all seen the devastation wrought by the storm to great swaths of Texas and Louisiana. Even before the storm blew out, volunteers like those of the now-famous Cajun Navy, "self-deployed" in order to rescue stranded survivors.

It's like America's version of the evacuation of Dunkirk.

With all the destruction, tragedy, and yes, inspiring heroism, you'd think the leftist media wouldn't have anything to criticize.

Wrong.

Horror of horrors!

Our Supermodel in-Chief was spotted wearing stiletto heals as she and her hubby The Grand Nagus were on their way to pay Texans a visit.  As Tucker Carlson said:  You'd think the press should have more to worry about than what the First Lady wears...

It's not like Melania was going to be manning the tiller of a Cajun Navy rescue boat.

No matter.  The media found something to feast upon.

In addition to "Stilettogate" others within the Ministry of Truth are trying to tell us Trump hasn't been showing enough empathy towards the victims (among other things).

As The Diplomad said, No thanks to the President being a Healer in-Chief.

Yeah, I know Our Grand Nagus isn't a warm & cuddly kind of guy.  It's not why I voted for him.

Greg Gutfeld finally revived his smart aleck humor and gave this synopsis in his video:

Heroes united us, now zeros try to divide us.

And in another two:  First, America's response to tragedy repudiates the media.

Barcelona Blues

It's now virtually impossible for me to post about breaking news.  (Not that I really could before, because I'd often wait a day or so to allow most, if not all the facts to come to light).

It's been almost two weeks since the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain, and nearly a week since a Spanish judge ordered one suspect to be freed.

But even if I could post about events in a more timely manner, I don't know what else to add, especially since the attack on Barcelona followed the same tiresome trajectory as all the other attacks before it.

So much for Spain's umbrellas in the rain.  (That is, attempting to appease enemies for "peace in our time.")

According to The Diplomad's family, the Spanish are hell-bent on societal suicide.

I'm also noticing what may be burn-out on social media.  I've seen very few Spanish flags superimposed over profile pictures for Facebook virtue signalling.

A sign, maybe, of more and more people accepting the "new normal."

The Slippery Slope of Statue Smashing

The Memory Hole Madness--snowflakes triggered into becoming mindless statue smashers--spread throughout the week.

From the "rebel scum" states of the long time ago Confederacy, the pandemic has now reached the Peoples' Democratic Republic of the Big Apple.  Hizzoner Moff De Balsio is now placing the statues of Christopher Columbus under review.

Oceans are no barriers either.  Monument Madness has taken hold in Britain with the hue & cry raised to raze Nelson's Column.

One of Mark Steyn's readers points out there is no "discussion" about this topic, and statues are removed in a very undemocratic way.  Yeah, often in the dead of night too.

And VDH eloquently points out the Left's hypocrisy when it wages war against the [select] dead.

Here's an illustration of leftist logic for smashing statues (and stifling free speech)...

...which it makes them look as bad as our Islamo-fascist foes.

21st Century Commie-Nazi Street Clash?

Yesterday, a free speech rally was cut short by counter protesters, just one week after the deadly clash between protesters and counter-protesters in Charlottesville, VA.

Charlottesville dominated the news throughout last week.

I haven't been able to delve into the story too deeply, so many (all?) of you probably know more about what happened than I do.

What I did notice though, was that the media, Democrats and even some Republicans are squawking about what Our Grand Nagus said or didn't say in his attempt to condemn the violence.

Also the Democrats and their media allies are trying to pin the entire blame on the right-winger protesters.  (The Five discussed the media's impact on Charlottesville).

Well, if two opposing groups show up decked out as 300 wannabees, things won't end well.

The Diplomad didn't beat around the bush:  "...if you live in a Western country and you go around waving Nazi or Communist flags, or espousing Nazi or Communist ideology, you are a Moron..."

And Mark Steyn returned to one of his recurring themes:  Less speech leads to more violence.

A couple of friends remarked these clashes reminded them of the riots between the Communists and Nazis in the days of the Weimar Republic.

Whatever the similarities are, the non-FOX News media has already chosen one side.

Slowdown at Station WTFO

(Image found on Facebook)

This past week has been a long and intense one at the agency where I work.  And things are likely to stay this way for the foreseeable future.

I also have a growing list of domestic projects I need to do, along with gaming projects I want to do.

But the news cycle, both fake and real, continues on.

There's a lot going on within our country...

(Image by Chip Bok in reference to the Google engineer being fired for his "anti-diversity" memo)

...and beyond our borders...

(Image by Michael Ramirez, in reference to Trump's "Fire and Fury" rhetoric in response to Kim Jong Un threatening Guam)

(Image by Michael Ramirez in reference to Maduro's power grab in Venezuela)

...that I'd love to post about at length.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to read in-depth about current events, let alone add my two cents to the subjects at hand in a coherent manner.

What I'm hoping I can do is post at least once a week.  I know I've often done this in the past due to my rotating work schedule, or going on vacations.  But this slowdown will more the norm than the exception.

I'm thinking of something along the lines of a Top Story of the Week, or Weekly Roundup of news, along with applicable, attributed political cartoons.  Or both, if I can manage it.

Either way, I'm not planning on signing off the air anytime soon.  Just needing to slow down the transmission rate.

Thank you for staying tuned to Station WTFO.

Prager U Video: The War On Cars

Before you go off  on that Sunday drive:  Check out this video of Lauren Fix explaining why Big Government, Environmentalists and Leftists in-general hate cars.  (Although they love virtue-signalling by driving electric cars, even though they're not as green as they're claimed to be).

(Image by Dials, found on Pintrest, Chevy Volt)
A few weeks ago, my wife started in a new position within her company.  Unlike her old position, where she spent most of her time working from home, her new job requires her to commute to work.

She actually researched the bus and train routes between our house and work to see if taking mass transit would be better than driving, often in heavy traffic.

As it turned out, taking the bus would double her commute time.  On my own drives to work, I'd see poor souls standing in all kinds of weather by nothing more than a street sign indicating a bus stop.

For this post I even did my own investigating:  Taking the bus to work would take four times as long--and only during the times the buses were running.

Sorry lefties (well, not really) mass transit isn't for us.

So enjoy your drive--and your freedom!

Meanwhile, In Maduroland...

We've all been preoccupied--or made to be preoccupied--by Our Grand Nagus' "Russian Connections."

Yesterday I posted how the leftist dreamy-eyed view of Canada is a "mirage."

Meanwhile, a nightmarish socialist experiment has been going south, south of the border.

Venezuela is being devoured by socialism.

One of my friends posted this great comment about the media's disinterest in the disintegration of yet another Workers' Paradise:

This is a story that doesn't get near enough attention: that all the chaos and violence and oppression going on in Venezuela is the result of a full-bore implementation of leftist policies.  I notice the media never delves into the root causes of everything down there - they just gloss over it and focus on the current disastrous situation with no explanation for how it got this way.

At least most of the members of The Five aren't glossing over things as they discussed the consequences of socialism.

But it's not just the media that love to fawn over socialism, even while, pretending to have "never heard of Venezuela".  Lefty Democrats wax poetic about the joys of so-called social justice democracy.

The problem is:  Democrats don't actually believe in Democracy.

Most of us like-minded folks feared that if Hillary were elected, the US would eventually (soon?) follow Venezuela into anarchy.

Hillary's Hill-arious New Book Title

Last week, it was announced that our would-be Corrupt Queen's new book will be hitting the shelves next month.

New or not, Hillary's expected to regurgitate the same themes--everyone & everything else is to blame for her 2016 Presidential Election loss, but herself.

If you're in need of a laugh, here's Gutfeld & Co reacting to the announcement.

Matt Vespa discusses why the title of Hillary's book is very fitting--and goes on to explain why she truly lost the election--so you don't have to fork over any money for it.

Sayonara Scaramucci

I'm a day late in posting this week.

Or should I say, less timely than usual.

There was a 10-hour internet outage in our neighborhood the other day, so I couldn't do any of my on-line spamming work.

Anyway, the best opening line about the latest White House shake-up came from an online friend who said:

Someone fell out of the clown car...

Since the "circus will be in town" for another four years at least, the NYT has a more detailed story of Anthony Scaramucci being sheista-canned.

This guy's ten-day tenure went by in such a flash, I never got to see any of his briefing antics that everyone is now talking about in past-tense.

Laura Ingraham rolled-in on White House needing message discipline.  Otherwise, we'll see more revolving-door staffing.

Maybe I'm making too light of an apparent administration in disarray.

But to be honest, I find the revolving door appointments & firings to be hilariously entertaining.

Especially after eight years of Barry O's rule by Imperial Decree (a.k.a. Executive Order).  During the Era of HopeandChange, when one of Barry's minions was embroiled in a scandal, they'd Plead the Fifth and then walk away, suffering no consequences.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

Besides, I'm not surprised by all this especially when Our Grand Nagus' pre-presidential catch phrase was:

You're fired.

Despite my amusement, I don't think I'd want to be the White House Director of Communications...

Leftists Triggered by Trump's Transgender Tweets

Well, a few days ago Our Drunk Dialer in-Chief triggered leftists nation-wide when he tweeted that the US government would not "...accept or allow...Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military."

And as usual with Trump's tweets, the rest of his administration is trying to catch up.  In this case, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said there'll be no changes on transgender policy until the White House issues guidance.

The Great White North's Ministry of Defense responded that they'll promote the recruitment of transgender troops.

No word yet from any of the Muslim countries on whether or not they'll allow transgender individuals to join their respective military forces.

Now before I continue on, I'd like to state that I have a shred of insight on Gender Dysphoria (formerly known as Gender Identity Disorder).  I was raised by a high-strung and high maintenance mother; while later in my first marriage, I discovered that my first ex wife hated being a woman.  She was convinced God specifically cursed her to toil-out her days here on earth as a woman.

So I know what it's like to live in close quarters with someone who despises the gender they were born as.  This was actually the least of my issues with her.

Throughout my upbringing, and Hell-on-Earth first marriage, along with my depressing second marriage I've spent most of my life imagining I was someplace else, with someone else, and even being someone else. Which probably explains, in part, my interest in speculative fiction, wargames, roleplaying games and dressing up as action-adventure heroes during comic book conventions.

As a retired military member though, I would never think of overturning our military norms and traditions to cater to whatever my identity crisis flights of fancy took me.  I view Sex Reassignment Surgery as an extensive form of cosmetic surgery that allows one to LARP through life.

The U.S. military has one job, and one job only:  To wage war against our nation's enemies.  Or as my military buddies and I like to say--to kill bad guys and break their toys.

It shouldn't be a test-bed for leftists social engineering experiments.

Try that on our professional and Olympic sports teams first, and see how that turns out, before you send our men and women into harms way.

I'm not the only one who thinks this way.  According to a Rasmussen poll conducted last month, 23% thought having transgenders in the military was a good idea, while it was nearly divided between "bad" and "no impact."

I could ramble on about this, but I'll let Gavin McInnes do it--in drag even.

And finally I'll leave it to this wounded warrior, referenced in Gavin's video, who explained Trump's transgender ban in one incredible Tweet thread.
