Biden's Botched Bail-Out of Afghanistan

When I started junior high school, I remember the news media making a big hoopla over the Vietnam War being over when the Paris Peace Accords signed (27 January 1973).

Two years later I watched the same news media, shocked and dismayed over the Fall of Saigon two years later.

Then there was Dubya's infamous Mission Accomplished banner declaration.

So with a staggering amount of military equipment abandoned, and the White House clueless--or lying--about the number of Americans stranded in Mordorstan, I'd say the Afghanistan war is not over.

But the non-FOX News networks are praising the withdrawal, while Circleback Psaki claims no Americans are stranded.

So which is it?  Don't know--or don't exist?

My writer friend, Piper Bayard, calls-out the fuzzy math employed by Biden apparatchiks to conjure-up the "5400" figure and asks: Where do we go from here?

Where, indeed?

Unfortunately, we're on the horns of a dilemma:  Pressure the Harris-Biden Administration to un-strand our stranded countrymen, while simultaneously demand accountability for for which no responsibility has thus far been taken.

As un-vetted Afghanis and their child "brides" begin arriving on American soil, and most of them are not Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders, it's become apparent that Biden's Berlin Airlift 2.0 was based merely on bodies.

Get Afghans out of Afghanistan, any old Afghan (and his "child bride") will do.  It was all a big Bait & Switch, along with the other lies that are coming to light.

Lies that got people murdered, and are unravelling fast--like BS Biden's own Telephonegate with Grabthemoney Ghani.  Or that it was "bad intelligence" that caused a chain-reaction of faulty decisions made by our Swamp Dwellers in DC.

(To be fair, the Afghan War was a lie for years.)

Nor is Sleepy Joe alone in this.  Our top military leaders act like second-rate political hacks.

In addition to lies, and "extraordinary success" gaslighting, the Harris-Biden Regime quickly began Memory Holing inconvenient facts.

Even if the terrorists don't turn our weapons on ourselves, or our allies, they could sell them to their supporters.  Especially since the Taliban considers China a "trustworthy friend."

Sleepy Joe's handlers won't abide by anyone bringing up arming the "Tollyban" while they're Hell-bent on disarming law-abiding American citizens.

As we all know, once a citizenry is disarmed, there'll be nothing stopping those in power, like the disturbing reports of the Taliban conducting door-to-door mass executions of Afghans who helped the US.

Any guess on how the "Tollyban" obtained such information?

And what do our allies think of Biden's "extraordinary success" in yanking us out of Afghanistan?

Well, the folks Down Under consider Our Hair-Sniffer-in-Chief an international embarrassment, the "whole" US withdrawal from Afghanistan was "botched," and the US has "proved itself completely incompetent" through its Afghanistan withdrawal.

Our allies perception of our incompetence is, to some degree or another, due to our great complacency.

A complacency that will see America's influence in the world continue to erode unless we're able to correct our current political-social trajectory.

Biden Abidin' by the Deadline

On 26 August (2021), a pair of suicide bombers struck the Hamid Karzai International Airport, killing 13 American service members.

Two days later, the DoD released the names of The Fallen, while Task & Purpose posted a a tribute in their honor.

Meanwhile, the Harris-Biden Regime is Hell-bent to adhering to an artificial timetable:  Pentagon Mouthpiece, John Kirby, announced the final withdrawal of military troops in Afghanistan.

Nothing about ensuring no American citizen is left behind in the clutches of the Islamic Mordor’s minions, which in addition to the “Tollyban;” include ISIS, Al Qaeda, and ISIS-K.

To make matters worse, someone or a group of someones, with more wokeness than common sense, thought it was a grand idea to give the Taliban a list of the names of Americans and Afghan allies in order to “help evacuate them.”

Are you f*cking kidding me?  Further words fail me on this issue.

Oh sure, the Harris-Biden Regime launched a drone strike killing 2 “high profile” ISIS members along with an air strike that took-out several suicide bombers traveling in a truck.

But these meager retaliatory measures don’t quench the flames of a melting-down superpower, especially when the Harris-Biden Regime took deliberate steps to achieve such an epic failure—and continue attempting to shift the blame.  Which makes one wonder:  How can we have any confidence in our leaders?

The short answer for many of us is:  We don’t.

Nor do we appreciate being a gaslit nation.

And this meltdown of political will has world-wide repercussions.  For starters, the US isn’t only country relying on the good-graces of the “Tollyban” to ensure the safety of their citizens.

While here at The Homefront, someone has been fired over the Afghanistan debacle—unfortunately it isn’t the generals.

Speaking of Life here at The Homefront, one of my writer friends, Piper Bayard, has been maintaining daily updates on the unraveling of America’s involvement in Afghanistan:

17-24 August 2021

24-25 August 2021

26 August 2021

27-28 August 2021

Most of  Piper’s fanbase support her position.  However, she’s received some push-back, usually in the form of justifying Sleepy Joe’s ineptitude, or going into OrangeManBad default mode.  She even received “author-slaining” from at least one fellow writer.  You know, someone who should be a standard-bearer for freedom of expression, especially against the harbingers of brutality and oppression.

Ever since Trump the Usurper “stole” the crown from Crooked Queen Clinton, I’ve been amazed and appalled by the assorted activist snowflakes willing to defend the indefensible in order to preserve their ideological outlook—while virtue signaling safely behind the Ramparts of Civilization.

In the 12 years I've been blogging about current events I've refrained from accusing politicians of having "blood on their hands."  The phrase has been too overused, is melodramatic, and often false.

However, with the Biden-Tollyban Deadline due tomorrow before midnight, (31 August 2021), and with 13 service members, along with scores of Afghans needlessly killed, there's a first time for everything...

The Fall of Saigon 2.0

Saigon Kabul fell to the North Vietnamese Taliban this past weekend with total mayhem at the Kabul Airport.

Yes, I’m making the same Fall of Saigon comparison every news agency and current events commentator has made this past week.  But when you have similar images like this…

(Image from Historic Photographs)

…it’s impossible not to make such differentiation.

Unlike our withdrawal from Vietnam (which I remember) where American citizens were evacuated, our current Department of State (DOS) abandoned American citizens and told them to go hide, while the Pentagon says there’s no plan to help Americans trapped in Afghanistan get to the airport.

Seriously?  What the f*ck!

As several commentators have stated throughout the links I provided:  It’s not a matter of whether or not to leave Afghanistan, it’s a question of how.  Abandoning billions of dollars-worth of functioning military hardware, and thousands of Americans is not the way to “pick up our toys and go home.”

The exact number of Americans behind enemy lines is unknown, but is estimated to be between 5,000 and 10,000.

Instead of ginning-up a plan to rescue a legion’s worth of Americans, our political and military leaders are doing what they have done best for the past 20 years—playing The Blame, Spin and Virtue Signal Game.

Oh, Sleepy Joe did wake up on Monday and gave a disgraceful speech, didn’t take any questions, then shuffled back to Camp David, after which his handlers posted a
photo leaving Americans puzzled.

Despite any assurances Basement Biden may have mumbled about a few weeks ago…

…they were all lies, as a recent DoD IG report revealed.

Ben Shapiro explained why Afghanistan fell so quickly and what’s currently happening there now.  (Hint:  None of it is good).

Meanwhile, Lame Stream Media outlets, like CNN, are having a tough time covering up for Biden.

As American citizens here in America are dealing with an invisible president…

…the impact this scale of humiliation will have on future world affairs will be dire.

Libtards Lose It Over Loss of Terrorist Commander

While many of us inside the Ramparts of Civilization were ringing-in "the Roaring 20s 2.0," Iranian-backed groups of Shi'ite militia attempted to roar into the American Embassy in Baghdad.

The American Ministry of Truth went into full-fake news mode by calling the military-age males assaulting our embassy "protesters," or "mourners."  Then the chattering class wondered if this incident was Our Grand Nagus' "Benghazi."

They didn't have to wonder long.

By Friday, 3 January, Qasem_Soleimani, commander of Iran's Islamic_Revolutionary_Guard_Corps (IRGC), and his entourage, found themselves within the impact area of a Hellfire missile strike.

Since then, all Hell has broken loose among Dimtards, libtards and snowflakes.

Wimpy libtards apologized to Iran and begged for mercy.

YouTuber Sargon of Akkad hosted the "best" celebrity tweets of their collective grovelling.

Dan Bongino wondered what team are the Dimtards on?

Not only were libtards mourning the loss of another "austere religious scholar," but hysteria over "World War III" and a return of the Draft reached fever-pitch, causing the Selective Service website to crash.

Several commentators have been calling out folks on the right for wanting to "nuke Tehran," or other such calls for full-escalation of tension.

Paul Joseph Watson highlighted all the World War Cringe across the political spectrum.

I 'm not calling for escalation, but I'm all for taking evildoers, regardless of their bona fides.  I never bought-in to the mind-set that taking out a bad guy only upsets all the other bad guys.  T

Besides, the hue & cry going on in Iran now hasn't changed since the Iranian_Revolution.

Sure, Our Grand Nagus upset the 40-year proxy war Iran has been waging against us by sending a clear message.

The current situation kinda reminds me of the Star Trek episode A Taste of Armageddon:  An alpha-male has upset the "acceptable level of violence" apple cart and folks on both sides of the on-going undeclared war are freaking out.

Despite the rhetoric by the Iranians and the war-draft hysteria here in America, the likelihood of an all-out war appears to be low for now.

The Diplomad recommends we should be open to negotiations with Iran--but tell them we will dismantle their entire infrastructure if they continue to escalate.

While the "Trump Doctrine" has humiliated foreign enemies and domestic libtards, the Dimtards aren't taking Our Grand Nagus' action lying down.  Nancy Pelosi--who still hasn't forwarded the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate--is concocting a new & improved War Powers Resolution.

Meanwhile, as we wait for possible retaliation by the Iranians--or the Dimtards--we can at least enjoy the plethora of memes the sprung up within hours of Soleimani's unlamented demise.

Here's some of my favorites:

(Image found on Facebook)

(Image found on Facebook)

This is my #1 choice:

(Image found on Facebook)
I don't know why, but I find memes involving Conan the Dog to be especially funny, which is odd because I'm not what one would call a "dog lover."

I shared the Conan & Trump image with the following comment:  Our Grand Nagus received top professional advice before authorizing the strike against Soleimani.

Anyway, if written parody is more your style, there's these gems...

The People's Cube has a faux romance cover for terrorist eulogies while satire site, Babylon Bee claims Democrats called for flags to be flown at half-staff to grieve the death of Soleimani.

I'm sure there'll be more incidents to come that we'll find both amusing and appalling as we near Election Day 2020.

Pentagon Papers 2.0

I never read any of The Pentagon Papers.  I was still in grade school when the scandal initially erupted, was aware of the gist of the issue but never bothered to delve deeply into it.

Basically, a number of leaders and sections of the Department of Defense lied to Congress and the American public about various aspects of the US involvement in the Vietnam War.

One would think "The Pentagon" learned its lesson.

Apparently not.

Amid all the nothingburgers Congressional Dimtards are cooking up attempting to unseat Trump the Usurper, a true bombshell detonated earlier this week.

The Washington Post (WaPo) broke the story of confidential documents revealed US officials failed to tell the truth about the war in Afghanistan.

My paltry experience in the post-9/11 middle east consists of three 3-month rotations and none of them were to Afghanistan.

One of my friends at work was assigned to a special operations support unit and has 4 year-long rotations under his belt.

He said that when he noticed the civilian contractors in Afghanistan outnumbered military personnel, he figured all we were doing was "feeding the military-industrial complex."

My comment to Comrade Karla who informed us of this debacle was:

Lessons learned from 'Nam & The 'Stan--
--Kill bad guys
--break their toys
--forgo "nation-building/winning-the-hearts-and-minds,"
--leave enemy-held facilities a smoking ruin.

His response:  Rubble makes no trouble.

Seriously, I'm all for punitive raids, like "Bag Baghdadi," but I'd rather not see America continue shedding blood & treasure in shithole countries with no clear-cut objective of achieving victory.

Ministry of Truth Mourns Dead Terrorist Leader

On Sunday, 27 October, Our Grand Nagus announced that the founder of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed by an American special ops raid.

Us normal people would consider this "a good thing."

But not so for the outlets of the Ministry of Truth.

The Washington Post (WaPo) took top Fake News of the Week "honors."  At one point during the news cycle, the newspeak-laced headline referred to Baghdadi as an "austere religious scholar," coupled with a sympathetic eulogy.

It seems like the WaPo staff wasn't prepared for the backlash, so they modified the headline, for the third time and finally settled on calling Baghdadi an "extremist leader."

I wish I could report WaPo's sympathy for the dead "religious scholar" was an isolated incident.

Unfortunately, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) has infected every outlets of the Ministry of Truth.

The media seems determined to have their reputation follow Baghdadi.  For instance, conservative commentator-turned NeverTrumper, Max Boot, claimed it wasn't a cowardly act for Baghdadi to blow himself up along with 3 of his children.

I found it funny that Our Grand Nagus notified the Russians before Schiff and Pelosi...

...and for good reason.

Salty Cracker listed several other Dimtards who weren't enthused about the operation.

Fortunately, we have commentators like Mark Steyn who know how to write a headline, along with pro-American article like this:  Baghdadi Bagged.

The silver-lining fallout resulting in the inept attempt at newspeak has resulted in the WaPo being reduced to meme-fodder.

Here's a sample from Martina Markota's Facebook page:

I didn't know the WaPo's motto was changed in 2017 to:  Democracy Dies in Darkness.

I made the following suggestion in several Comments Section:

Maybe the WaPo should change it's motto to:  Journalistic Ethics Dies in the Full Light of Day.

I also found this timely meme in the wake of the untimely demise of the "austere religious scholar:"

(Image from:  Rough Cut Men)

I'd like to say the Fake News Industrial Complex has hit rock bottom.

But I'm sure the next time breaking news breaks--they'll start digging.

Turmoil Over Trump's Trip to Troops

Okay, I know I went overboard on this post's alliterative title.  But I couldn't think of another story that qualified as an End-of-Year-What-the-Fuck, than Our Grand Nagus' surprise visit to our troops overseas.

The basic timeline was this--

--The lamestream media criticized Trump on Christmas Eve and Christmas for not visiting the troops in .

--Then on the day after Christmas, when Our Gran Nagus showed up unexpectedly in Iraq, they lambasted him for visiting the troops.

Actually, the Ministry of Truth (a.k.a. left-wing media) went full Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Here are some examples of the symptoms--

--The cabal at CNN called Trump The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (I'm surprised they didn't say "The Holidays").

--There was the claim that Trump the Usurper violated ethics and campaign laws.

--And anytime Our Super-Model-in-Chief goes on such outings with her hubby, she comes under fire from misogynist, hypocritical commentators (personally, I think they're jealous she so stunning, classy and accomplished).

Conservative reaction to this latest outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome was swift--

--Tomi Lahren pointed out that the Left hates that our troops love Trump.

--White House spokesgal Sarah Huckabee condemned CNN for going after the troops.

--Jason Chaffetz, subbing-in for Sean Hannity, reminded viewers about the media silence when Obama signed personal items for the troops.

--Author and veteran Sean Parnell slammed the media for slamming Trump's visit.

--I like how Mark Steyn compared the FOBs (Forward Operating Bases) as dreary Crusader Forts.

--David Cullen could see this latest round of Trump Derangement Syndrome all the way from his home/studio in Ireland.

To finish this post in a flourish, one of my friends posted Curt Schilling's scathing retort to a triggered Ken Fitzgerald:

Happy New Year and best wishes to all of you in 2019!

Clash at US-Mexican Border

Well, it was bound to happen.

Over Thanksgiving Weekend, about 1,000 members of the Honduran Horde attempted to rush the border and were treated to tear gas for their attempted assault.

Of course, leftists were triggered by our border response.  One senator initially tweeted about our heinous use of "chemical weapons."

I was on duty last night, and among the network news agencies covering this story, only FOX News mentioned the border breachers were throwing rocks.

Brittany Hughes reminded us that If you storm our border and assault our agents, you're not an immigrant--you're an INVADER.

What truly isn't being reported are the following--

--That the Honduran Horde is comprised mostly of military-aged males (MAMs); and

--The Honduran Horde is being supported by far-left groups in the US.

I'm afraid we'll see more of this activity--on both sides of the border--for the foreseeable future.

FOX News Video: Korean Leaders Announce Shared Goal of Denuclearization

Sometimes, a "WTF!?" can be a good thing.

History was made a couple days ago:  For the first time, leaders from North & South Korea met in order to begin discussions about the denuclearization of the peninsula .

For those of us who've been stationed in The Land of the Morning Calm--this is huge news. (I was there throughout 1998).

Of course, the leftist media and minions of Barry O thought Our Grand Nagus would trigger World War II.  Instead, they're dining on crow.

What's even more galling to the Deep Staters and their media allies is the South Korean Foreign Minister, Kang Kyung-wha, credited Trump for making this event possible.

Most of us like minded folks, are cautiously optimistic, even Geraldo Rivera felt this development has a "vibe of history."

Senator Graham felt Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

Mmm.  Maybe.

While it's certainly an another accomplishment for Trump--and a more concrete step towards peace than anything that occurred during the Era of Hope & Change.

The Diplomad called this occassion Trump's Seoul Train.

Despite all this cautious euphoria, us like-minded folks don't believe Rocketman is acting out of goodwill for a second.

One of the big questions:  Why did North Korea announce the closure of its nuclear test site?

Spoiler Alert:  Because the underground site collapsed.

Our Grand Nagus is to meet with Rocketman sometime next month or in June.

This will be another first.

Stay tuned...

Government Shut Down Shuffle

A couple days ago, Our Grand Nagus signed a bill ending the government shutdown--until 8 February.

The critical issue was:  Democrats wanted to keep our borders open to illegal immigrants...

...while Trump was willing to deal--if Democrats approve of building The Wall along the US-Mexican Border.

The Dems refused, but Chuck Schumer shut down the government for no reason.

But of course, people like former DNC Chair tried putting a spin on why they support illegal aliens over American citizens.

It appears the Democrats caved simply because they felt--quite rightly--that public opinion was turning against them.  Although many aren't happy with Schumer's cave-in.

Now the Republicans aren't blameless in all this mess either.

They've had a majority in both Houses of Congress since the 2016 Election--and they're still having trouble, or are reluctant to fulfill their collective campaign promises.  Like repealing Obamacare.

We'll see if a permanent-ish budget bill is passed more smoothly in a couple of weeks.

Somehow, I doubt it.

Leftists Triggered by Trump's Transgender Tweets

Well, a few days ago Our Drunk Dialer in-Chief triggered leftists nation-wide when he tweeted that the US government would not "...accept or allow...Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military."

And as usual with Trump's tweets, the rest of his administration is trying to catch up.  In this case, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said there'll be no changes on transgender policy until the White House issues guidance.

The Great White North's Ministry of Defense responded that they'll promote the recruitment of transgender troops.

No word yet from any of the Muslim countries on whether or not they'll allow transgender individuals to join their respective military forces.

Now before I continue on, I'd like to state that I have a shred of insight on Gender Dysphoria (formerly known as Gender Identity Disorder).  I was raised by a high-strung and high maintenance mother; while later in my first marriage, I discovered that my first ex wife hated being a woman.  She was convinced God specifically cursed her to toil-out her days here on earth as a woman.

So I know what it's like to live in close quarters with someone who despises the gender they were born as.  This was actually the least of my issues with her.

Throughout my upbringing, and Hell-on-Earth first marriage, along with my depressing second marriage I've spent most of my life imagining I was someplace else, with someone else, and even being someone else. Which probably explains, in part, my interest in speculative fiction, wargames, roleplaying games and dressing up as action-adventure heroes during comic book conventions.

As a retired military member though, I would never think of overturning our military norms and traditions to cater to whatever my identity crisis flights of fancy took me.  I view Sex Reassignment Surgery as an extensive form of cosmetic surgery that allows one to LARP through life.

The U.S. military has one job, and one job only:  To wage war against our nation's enemies.  Or as my military buddies and I like to say--to kill bad guys and break their toys.

It shouldn't be a test-bed for leftists social engineering experiments.

Try that on our professional and Olympic sports teams first, and see how that turns out, before you send our men and women into harms way.

I'm not the only one who thinks this way.  According to a Rasmussen poll conducted last month, 23% thought having transgenders in the military was a good idea, while it was nearly divided between "bad" and "no impact."

I could ramble on about this, but I'll let Gavin McInnes do it--in drag even.

And finally I'll leave it to this wounded warrior, referenced in Gavin's video, who explained Trump's transgender ban in one incredible Tweet thread.

The Grand Nagus to NATO: You're Slackers!

Last week the leftist media outlets were agog over Trump--again.

Our Boorish Billionaire President's foreign faux pas was seen as "pushing NATO around."

But to us non-nuanced folks, like Katie Pavlich, it was priceless to see NATO members looking less than thrilled at Our Grand Nagus calling them out for slacking on defense spending.

And Jonah Goldberg defended Trump for calling terrorists evil losers.

Overall, Michael Barone thought Trump acted like a competent, conventional president abroad (and should start acting like one here at home).

The Nuke Nutcase of North Korea

Mid last week, Our Grand Nagus hosted a classified briefing warning senators that the North Korean threat is "urgent." In the aftermath of the meeting, the White House is considering putting North Korea on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list.

By the end of the week, Trump said during a Reuters interview that a major, major conflict with North Korea is possible.  Meanwhile, Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, urged the UN to act "before North Korea does."

But even if we avoid a major, major conflict--or even just a major conflict--with Kim Jong-Un's gang, there's a few more failed states we may have to contend with.

Mark Steyn calls this the Age of the Nuclear Basket Case.

Haram Hogs Hit ISIS Team

(Image by Gruntworks Media "Death by Bacon")
Here's some good news for a change:

A few days ago, herd of wild boars killed three militants.

Well, that's 216 maidens who'll maintain their virginity in Paradise.

Never mind sending Americans into harms way.  We should deploy Haram hogs against our jihadist enemies.

The New Deterrence Deputy in Town

VDH wrote a thoughtful article on Our Grand Nagus's attempt to restore deterrence--one bomb at a time.

Trump's salvos certainly aren't "Mission Accomplished" moments--they're merely signals to our adversaries that the Era of Hope & Change is over.

As VDH wrote, we're just now starting to restore some semblance of deterrence.  We have a long way to go, with potential hazards along the way.

But still, it's a good start...

Palm Sunday Weekend Terror Attacks

(Image by Steve Breen in The Federalist Papers)
Our jihadist enemies weren't idle over the weekend.

While chattering class debated the effectiveness and legalities of the missile strike against Syria, a Uzbek carjacked a beer truck, plowed it into a crowd killing four and injuring 15 in Stockholm, Sweden.

And as usual, he turned out to be another Known Wolf who evaded deportation.

Then on Palm Sunday, two bombs killed 44 church-goers and injured 100 during Palm Sunday services in Egypt.

A tidbit of good news emerged from Iraq:  Iraqi Christians celebrated their first Palm Sunday Mass in three years.  Let's hope this trend continues.

But back in San Bernadino, a mass shooting occurred in an elementary school.

This story was just breaking yesterday as I was composing this post.  This turned out to be a murder-suicide involving a husband (suicide shooter) and his wife.  While there's probably no connection with global jihad, incidents like this still make me say "WTF?"

Trump Backslaps Syria

Late last week while my wife an I enjoyed a couple of rare days off--together--Grand Nagus Donolf Trumpler met with China's president, Xi Jinping.

Oh, and launched a Tomahawk missile strike against the Syrian airbase that conducted a chemical weapons attack.

Apparently, the Grand Nagus didn't get Barry O's memo about establishing multiple red lines for murderous dictators to cross.

Reactions--on both sides of the political divide--have been mixed.  Russia certainly isn't happy.

Speaking of the Russians:  The Pentagon is conducting an investigation to determine if Russia actually helped Syria conduct the chemical attack.

While I share the concern about us getting into a "Syrian quagmire"--or worse--going head-to-head with Russia, like The Diplomad and Dystopic are--and for good reasons--I'm all for putting the Usual Suspects "on notice."

Even if the Syrian airbase is back in business:  Mark Steyn pointed out Trump hit a reset button for the world, while Greg Gutfeld cheered Trump reminded everyone who's boss.

Whether one thinks the Grand Nagus made the right decision or the wrong one, at this point it's better than making no decisions at all...
