Cantor Canned

The first time I heard about heir-apparent, Cantor's loss in Virginia was through a co-worker.  His words were:  "Cantor lost to a Tea Partier."

As it turns out, Cantor's challenger, Dave Brat, had very little Tea Party support.

So what happened?

Ann Coulter rolled-in with this damning commentary:  Cantor loses by 11 million voters.

There are of course, other tea leaf readings over Cantor's Calamity, such as salt-of-the-earth capitalism, religion and ethics in business, and even that his loss was based solely on immigration amnesty draws the wrong lesson.

Maybe.

But being pro-amnesty was a central theme and had a debatable part in Cantor's political burial.

No matter how anyone, from the political left, or right:  Amnesty lite is still amnesty.

Most Americans want the border secured.
