65th Anniversary of D-Day

Sixty-five years ago today, our nation and our allies began the liberation of Europe at a great cost of blood and treasure.

Today exemplifies the cliche: Freedom isn't free.

Much, of course, has been written about D-Day but here's a decent place to start:
