Carnage in Cairo

While I was out of town, Egypt boiled over--again. 

I'm no fan of military coups, but from all the clear-thinking folks, it's apparent the Muslim Brotherhood (their official website) wasn't as popular as some led themselves to believe. 

So the Egyptian military intervened.  Now it's a bloodbath, but curiously we hear more wailing and gnashing of teeth, because the unrest was hosted by the military and not a terrorist group. 

Meanwhile, hear within the crumbling ramparts of civilization, Our Dear Leader has been doing what he does best...

...which is speaking softly and carrying no stick.  In a word:  Nothing.

The Diplomad makes a strong case (with an acknowledgement to Pat Buchanan) for promoting liberty as opposed to democracy

Steering a correct course would be difficult for any administration.  But as Team Obama continues to clown around with foreign policy, things will only get worse...

...at home and abroad.

At least the Israelis are smart enough to figure out who to side with.
