Rachel's Non-Refundable Return

A few days ago, while my wife and I were binge-watching the first season of Northern Exposure, just over 4 million viewers were duped into watching the Rachel Maddow Show.

The teaser was:  MSNBC supposedly had the goods on Grand Nagus Trumpler and his elusive tax returns.

What viewers got for wasting an hour of their lives they'll never get back, was...

...taxing stupidity. 

The NYT tried spinning this as bringing record viewership, but the backlash with a hefty scoop of Schadenfreude, became a bigger story than Rachel's empty scoop.

Geraldo Rivera said Rachel Maddow now has the "Al Copone's Vault" Mantle.

Greg Gutfeld thinks Maddow fell for Trump's baited trap.

Of course, according to Maddow, the reason Trump's Tax Return Episode fizzled...

...was because people expected too much.  Typical leftist elitist attitude:  The unwashed masses aren't capable of understanding a sophisticate like Rachel Maddow.

Yeah.  Keep holding on to that thought Rachel...
