The Cancel Culture Continuum

Well the insanity of the Defund the Police Movement injected today’s toxic Cancel Culture with a shot of virtual adrenaline.

It started last week, when HBO Max and Paramount both announced they were pulling “Gone With the Wind,” and cancelling the TV show “Cops.”

But as typical with triggered snowflake mobs, this wasn’t enough.  The most intense outrage was vented against statues all over the US

Popular Mechanics even offered advice to the outrage mob on how to tear them down.

While it’s easy to poke fun at the easily-triggered...

...but the erasing of America’s culture is damaging and dangerous, because it stems from the lie that America—and only America “invented” slavery.

Quaker Oats announced it was re-naming it Aunt Jemima brand.

Cancel Culture is infecting the toy & game industry.

There was some confusion as to whether or not LEGO would stop making police figures.  While the toy company isn’t halting production it’s suspending marketing of them.

That’s something, I guess.

Wizards of the Coast (WotC) went full-woke and removed several cards from the database of their popular game, Magic the Gathering that are supposedly racist.  The company’s also banned their use from play in official tournaments.

And speaking of races, the typically evil Drow and Orcs of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) will depicted in a more morally and complex way, along with scrubbing earlier publications of potentially hurtful content.

Nor is the Cancel Culture insanity limited to America.  The UK is now having trouble preventing their monuments from being vandalized, like this one of Bomber Command.

But what a growing number of liberals are realizing is that the monster they created is turning on them

We tried to warn them.

Hopefully the Cancel Culture Monster’s rampage will end before it causes any more lasting damage.
