Backing Out Of Berkeley

Well, Firebrand Ann ended up cancelling her speech at Berkeley yesterday.

She managed to chat with Tucker Carlson last night about another dark day for free speech.

Her talk's theme:  Enforcing existing immigration laws that have been on the books for years--generations actually.

Firebrand Ann's speech wasn't the only venue shut down due to threats of violence.

Tomorrow's 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade has been cancelled.

The reason:  Because members of the Multnomah County Republican Party were going to participate in the parade.

Greg Gutfeld and The Five crew called it another victory for the anti-free speech movement.

But as Mark Steyn points out in his The State vs Free Speech article, this "new" movement isn't new at all, but has been active for several years.

Whether old or new, Hannity reminded us in his opening monologue that stifling free speech should trouble every American.
