Virtual Bumper Stickers

As barbarians outside the Ramparts of Civilization raid and invade with impunity, how does Our Dear Leader's Administration respond?

With social media hashtags.

Or what I call virtual bumper stickers.  Something that costs next-to-nothing to do--and does nothing to resolve anything.

First it was #WeStandWithUkraine, now it's #BringBackOurGirls.

Oh sure, it lets everyone inside the ramparts know that you're concerned with #WhateverItIsYourConcernedAbout.  But it's not going to make Boko Haram, Russia's Bare-Chested Czar, or any of usual suspects outside the ramparts (Iran, North Korea, China, just to name a few), to refrain from #WhateverThey'reDoingThatUpsetsUs.

Mark Steyn goes for the groin, and suggests the hashtag: BringBackOurBalls.

As Mother's Day looms within hours, I can't think of anything more horrific for a mother to face than have her daughter carried off by a pack of barbarians and sold into slavery.

I pray the girls are rescued.

But if & when they are, it will be in the good-old non-Twenty First Century way--with guns blazin'.
